what kind of crowds to expect feb 3 to 11th

am trying to find a place to stay feb 3 to the 11th without much luck. is there something going on at this time that it will be crowded in the parks. anyone know how crowds are at this time and of a good inexpensive 2 bedroom condo resort or house to stay in.

Did you check direct through the owners on sites like---- www.vrbo.com and www.orlandovillas.com ? There are usually some excellent deals to be had here. For whatever reason, it does appear as though the early part of February is going to be a bit heavier in crowds than normal. Many people have been saying they are having harder times finding rooms or discounts.

There is a show going on during that time. Perhaps those traveling are taking their families and making a vacation our of the time. That is what my brother-in-law and family are doing.

The show is the American Rental Association show. Not sure how large of a show this is or how much affect this has on hotels or attendance at Disney.

hmmm that explains why I keep getting calls about selling or renting my timeshare when I hadn't before.

What type of convention is happening?? I know early February seems to be more booked in places this year than usual.

We went this past Feb 5 - 12 and it was extremely crowded. At that time there were a lot of things going on - cheerleading comps, Mardi Gras, Grey cup in Jacksonville and the start of Daytona 500. We just assumed people coming from the Grey Cup and going to Daytona made it into a vacation that included WDW also. It's hard to say why it tends to be more crowded in early Feb anymore, maybe it's becoming a more popular time than previously.
