I got a Fondue pot and a cookbook for Christmas. My kids and I just want to make a basic chocolate fondue--no alcohol. The recipe in the book called for chocolate chips but it tasted bleh--just like melted chocolate chips. I know, what else could I expect.
What would be a good type of chocolate to use? I don't want to spend an arm and a let on high end brands if I can avoid it. Would I be better if using chocolate bars?
Oh, and the kids like Milk Chocolate and I prefer dark if that makes a difference.
