What kind of batteries for Pal Mickey?

We will be getting a pal mickey for our daughter on our first day in Disneyworld. We will be there for 8 days/7 nights and I worry that the batteries may go dead. Instead of paying higher prices for the batteries I figured I would just bring some extra with us. Anyone know what kind/# of batteries he uses.

Three AA batteries. Just changed ours getting ready to go in Feb. If PM starts to act weird or doesn't start questions correctly check the batteries. That is usually the problem.
