What juniors stores carry short jeans in store?

DD11 is hard to fit in jeans. She is a 12 length, but most 12's these days are too narrow in the seat and thigh. I have some luck with Limited Too size 12 on eBay (by virtue of them being Limited Too, they are older and not cut so narrow!).

Also looked at some 0 short jeans and they appear to have similar waist and inseam measurements. I know many stores only carry the regular lengths and you have to buy short or tall online. DD14 takes regular and I take tall so we have never shopped for short yet. With junior jeans I am worried about the rise being too low or being too skinny in the thigh as well, so she should try them on. Shopping is an hour away and my kids are reluctant shoppers so I like to know where I'm going ahead of time. What stores keep short sizes in stock?

Also any suggestions for brands that are not super low or tight welcome.

PS she will not do skinny jeans. Boot cut only.

Around here, Aeropostale and Delia's both have short jeans in the store. Delia also sells by inseam, but only online. Probably best to call them if you have a long drive. Aero has a variety of styles.

American Eagle. But you might have luck finding a free shipping code and having them shipped to you.

Have purchased my DD short inseams in store at both Aeropostale and American Eagle but my DD likes skinny jeans so not sure what they carry for bootcut.

My youngest DD will only wear bootcut. I've been having trouble finding them for her. She needs a girls 14 for the waist but the inseam of a size 12. I haven't tried junior jeans because she doesn't like low riding pants.

Old Navy. That is what I wore in high school...size 0 Short. They have different rises available also.

I used to (ie way before kids, like high school ad early college) order from Delia's back when they had the catalog (before Internet really, even! lol). I know a mall near me has a store, and their jeans come in lengths (26", 28", etc) and as small as 00.

That's where we're at. Actually, I had picked up a bunch of 14's at thrift stores and they were mostly too tight too. But plus size are way too baggy. We had some Old Navy and Gap 16's of older DD's and I did have her try one on. The waist was pretty good so I just cut off a couple inches. She is fine with a raw hem edge- she thinks it's cool. But the next time she put them on she thought the crotch was droopy. I put them back in her drawer, maybe she will wear them anyway. We have 3 more pair of 16 to try out if I can get her to try them on. You might try that.

Also try SO basic stretch jeans at Kohl's. We have two pair of size 12 that fit her great. They are just cut looser than all the others. That is if they haven't changed since last year.

Like I said Limited Too in 12 can work- but they don't make them anymore, you have to find them used. I measured a pair of DD's that work and compare measurements.

I am also afraid of junior jeans not fitting like she'd like. Right now she is wearing a lot of leggings with denim skirts instead. But today she is wearing a cute pair of Ltd 12 from eBay!

Justice. Make sure to have a 40% off coupon. There's always one available online if you look.

My DD12 wears a size 14 in the waist but she's way too short in the leg for regular jeans. The 10 1/2 jeans at Justice are the same waist as the 14 but they're much shorter.

Justice is the store that used to be Limited Too. If Limited Too jeans fit well then you should do well with Justice. If she wears a 12 in the waist then she'll likely fit well into 8 1/2.

DD will also only wear bootcut and she is very conservative. We have tried jeans on everywhere and we get the best fit w/the aero short. All of their jeans are not low rise. I do make her wear a belt with them every day though. It helps a lot with the sagging waist.

They are often on sale for $20 each, and we have gotten them as low as $12.

My DD also hates to shop. What we often is order something in a few sizes and have it shipped to the house to try on. Then the trip to the store is to return the extras, not to wander around and try everything on.

Good luck!

Justice plus are too big at the waist or too short. We've tried. She's really not a plus. We're looking at about a 27-28 waist (with 8 inch rise) and 28 inseam. 12.5 has a 28 inseam but waists are around 30. I think the Limited Too in regular works just because they are a few years old, before everything got cut so skinny. Older Justice might work- she has a couple of 12 and 14 capris that fit great that I got at thrifts- but current in store do not fit.

Might try Aero someday- DD14 got a couple jeans there this fall and she doesn't do super low either. Their website says short is 30 inseam, though. As a side note, I bought DD 7 tops online at Aero last night, now this morning they tell me my order is cancelled, but didn't say why. I emailed customer service, haven't heard yet.

Just had a thought- DD14 has Aero jeans in 2 sizes and styles- I should have DD11 try them on for fit at the top and that would give me an idea if Aero is even a possibility. They're not much different in width- it's just DD14 is 7 inches taller...

My youngest won't wear anything too tight. She doesn't like leggings or jeggins which were OK for my oldest if they a bit too long because they would just scrunch up a bit but the bootcut style doesn't do that. My youngest needs just an extra inch on the size 12 jeans not the 3 inches on the plus size. I just check the size charts on Aeropostale and a short inseam of 30" is longer than the size 14 that is already too long.

My youngest wears lots of yoga pants and size 12 chinos-especially if they have at least part of the waistband in knit fit her OK.

Oh and just for fun I should add that my DS doesn't quite fit into slims but has the waist of a size 12 with the inseam of a 16. And he of course won't wear jeans that would fit him better. He only wears chinos and sweat pants but only if they have no graphics or stripes.

I'm 5'0", weigh 110-115lbs and wear a woman's size zero but need a 27-28" inseam. My 12 year old is taller than me, LOL! I struggle to find jeans that fit. A good friend of mine works at PS Aeropostale and recommended that I order their 12 plus jeans online. They fit like a woman's size zero in the waist and thighs but the inseam is perfect for me. Not sure if that helps.

Hmm, the PS Aero size chart for girls is interesting. It does give actual waist, inseam, hip, and thigh measurements. Their inseams appear to be shorter than usual. I will measure her again, I'm not sure she will match all the measurements in a single size.

But, since I am going to re-do my cancelled order with Aero, I am tempted to throw in a pair of 14 reg and a pair of 12+ from PS.

I'm on both sides too, older DD was always in slims (and is still skinny but yet a lot of junior jeans are too tight in the thigh :confused3 plus they gap in the waist- I think she needs curvy fit jeans) and this DD is thicker. You might look at the PS Aero size chart too and see if any of those look right.

I should also mention that even sweatpants have been an issue! I thought it would be no big deal since they are a looser pant, but all the 12's were too tight in the butt and the 14's were super long and/or super big in the waist. Also many stores did 10/12 and 14/16 in sizing. There's a long way between 10 and 16. She could have used a 12/14. Actually we ended up getting boys sweats (which were actually sized 12/14 at Target).

I buy the majority of DD14's jeans at Hollister. She is petite, curvy, a size 1S and Hollister carries that size in store in many colors of jeans. They are pricy, but I wait until the jeans are 50% off and when they are, a pair will be between $25 and $40.

If you have a Maurices nearby check there. DD wears Size 00 and has a hard time finding them short enough. Maurices has short and extra short lengths. They are a bit of a lower cut so I don't know if they would work for your DD.

Good luck, shopping for DD was always a challenge, and she loves to shop! Now that she is married I don't have to shop for her as much.
