I can't remember the last time we had grape jelly/jam in the house. My preference is strawberry preserves, and my husband like raspberry (with seeds) the best. We also have apricot and occasionally blackberry jams, and my husband will sometimes buy orange marmalade. We don't use them very much, though, so it's hard to have more than one or two at a time.
I used to be even with Strawberry or Grape, but now we are addicted to Strawberry/Jalapeño. I have tried Raspberry/Jalapeño and Blueberry/Jalapeño and they are not as good. I have not found a Grape/Jalapeño.
I don't think we've ever had grape jelly in the house, or jelly at all for that matter. We only buy jam. Strawberry and blackberry. Occasionally I will get orange marmalade, but I don't use that for PB&J, I use it for toast or English muffins.
No matter what type of fruit it is, jam is made from the whole fruit/berry, cooked into what is basically a puree, sugar added and then set with pectin or some similar agent. It's fairly solid and contains the berry seeds and all the pulp from the fruit. Jelly is made from cooked fruit/berry puree but strained to remove the seeds and pulp. It ends up being more like solidified fruit juice.
I am a jelly/preserves snob. I hate grape jelly, but like Strawberry preserves.
However, I love orange marmalade, black cherry or blackberry preserves. I prefer my preserves to not be too sweet. I like my peanut butter to be all natural smooth, but the jellies to have chunky fruit pieces.
Anything that is not lumpy (no preserves or anything).
My absolute favorite is Cherry Butter from American Spoon Foods in Michigan but they haven't had it in several years. (they make other flavors... the Cherry is my favorite).

I cannot remember the last time I bought any other kind of jelly besides grape. I have had strawberry before, and it is fine, but for me grape is just the default jelly I suppose.
Haven’t had grape jelly in years. I prefer jam over jelly. Jelly as PP is like jello gross. My DH makes homemade raspberry jam from our bushes and homemade strawberry jam from handpicked fields. Yummy. He got into making jam. Bit odd as a man but heynwe all benefit! Best is fresh, warm raspberry jam from the pot.
I don't know how you people can ruin a perfectly good peanut butter sandwich by putting squished fruits on top of it. Blech.... PB only for me. I love fruits, but not on top of peanut butter.
My favourite sandwich as a kid, chocolate spread and peanut butter! Eating peanut butter with jam (jelly here is the wobbly stuff you eat for dessert) is unusual here. But I did like the peanut butter and jelly with grape jelly, though I find grape flavouring to be quite dry tasting.
I don't eat a lot of Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches anymore, but if I do, I like them totally "Little Kid Style". White Bread, Creamy Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly!!!!
