what it trip covers both pin code dates and then black out dates?

What happens when you book a trip that begins within the correct dates but then extends into blackout dates for a pin? For example, if I had a reservation for the Poly for 40% off to stay 11/19-11/26 yet the pin is not in effect 11/23-11/28, do you just have to pay the rack rate for the dates that are not covered?

that's what a CM told me. With free dining, the discount extends through your stay (up to a certain number of days), as long as you've checked in by the last day of the free dining period, but with room only discounts, the dates are exact.
