I'm a dog groomer (self employed) I love my job but sometimes I wish for something a bit more 9-5 with a regular wage, sick leave and holidays. (this will be my first in 5 years!)
Like AlanUK, I too am an Analyst/Programmer who ends up doing a lot of support and maintenance tasks due to being in a very small (2 people including me!) IT department.
Unfortunately having been spoilt at my last job in terms of flexible hours, lots of training and reasonably exciting challanging but do-able work I am still in a state of shock doing 09:00 to 17:00 with 30mins lunch, training = buy yourself a book, boring and incredibly easy or stupidly difficult work
I'm another civil servant, working for the Ministry of Defence doing business plans and finance type stuff. Incredibly boring but it pays the bills and I get to check out the DIS boards while I'm at work as long as the boss isn't around!
well glad I don't do what I use to as you all would laugh. I own a ABTA bonded travel agents specialising in florida. Used to work for a paper manufacturer selling elephant toilet rolls yep! Jumbos that you see in motorway services etc. 18 years of drivinf round the 25 or stuck on the M25 was too much for me!
I'm currently a stay-at-home mum, and carer to my son who's autistic. Before kids I worked in IT, and when they are both safely full-time at school, I'm going to re-train as a teacher! So it'll be WDW in August for us every year.
Spooky isn't it, how many of us do so few different jobs
Senior Support Analyst - fancy title, basically it means I have to help monitor two parallel billing systems of 8 million customers for the countries largest power/utility company.
What an excellent thread and what a varied lot we are. It just shows that Disney appeals right across the board.
I'm a University lecturer so I get to look after your little darlings when they're all growed up
My favourite hobby is scrapbooking although I don't have as much time to do this as I'd like. I also have a rather unhealthy obsession with Russell Crowe
I am a Civil Servant for the DWP based at Lytham, identify problems and control fixes for the Income Support systems. Provide support to all the Income Support offices when things go belly up (often) thanks to Tronads's company....hehehe

I'm an Architect, though my wheelchair keeps me away from building sites.
Nowadays, I work from home dividing my time between 'ghosting' for other Architects, preparing drawings on my computer, and acting as receptionist/secretary/business manager for my wife.
She is a Psychologist acting as Expert Witness in court cases.
Because we are both self-employed, we can arrange our diaries to alow long (3-4 week) trips to WDW, where we are DVC owners.
Is that the software on the legacy systems that they can go in on LA/electoral roll etc ? Have seen this once when i was processing a claim that i suspected of fraud way back in the day at local office.
