What is YOUR Pet Peeve When Traveling @ WDW??

Can we .PLEASE drop the bathroom subject? I think we are all going to have to agree to disagree.

What really needs to happen is Disney needs to wake up to the current reality and do like some states are doing in rest areas... One side women (exclusively), the other side men (exclusively) and in the middle family style.

On the BUS issue... I think I mentioned it a dozen pages back, but we had that happen with one person holding a spot for an ENTIRE BUSLOAD OF TEENS. We had to wait for an entire new bus. They should've called transportation and arranged a pick up for a group that big.

I had a group last sumer and needed to do the whole wait for others thing. I made sure we all got in line, then asked the people behind us if it was OK for part of our group (usually some of us parents with little kids going to the bathroom) to go and com back in to the line. Doing things this way, we never got so much as a dirty look.

We had some kids that were going to try to cut us one time. After seeing and Benito and I, they changed their minds... :)

IMO, a preteen boy is anything over the age of 10 yrs old.

Talking hands, I completly understand how you feel. 3 days before my 18th B'day, a stranger broke into my home and attacked me at gunpoint. nobody can possibly understand the feelings of a victim unless they have been through it themselves. not a counselor, NOBODY. my issues don't lie with young boys but rather with men of a different race other than my own.

And Gail, you don't have to jump in here with your sarcastic remarks either. when it comes to me, I wish you would keep your opinions to yourself. I have known you since the old Disney fans board days, and you and I have never seen eye to any on anything and we probably never will.

I'm sorry if I hurt any feelings here about your sons. I just wish women with older boys (who still hold on to mama's apron strings) would use the companion restrooms. thats what they are there for. now, thats all I have to say about that.

Wow!!! Its one thing to think it, then say it, but to put it in print!!! I digress for the love of Disney:mad:

Sorry folks, what I meant to say was she and I have never seen eye to eye on anything. ::yes::

Older than 10, I can see the issue, but my friend's 7 year old son was almost molested in the men's bathroom at a local store - he begged her to please not take him in the women's bathroom and let him go by himself, so she gave in. She was standing right outside the door, and after a few minutes called to him. When he didn't answer, she called again, and a man's voice answered, "He's okay." She ran in and the man was standing next to her son trying to get him to touch him. I've got a DD6, and I worry about her constantly, but I've also got a DS2 who will be 7 one day. I can assure you that I'm going to be just as protective of him as I am of my daughter.

On the subject of companion restrooms, great idea!! But having been to WDW well in excess of 10 times, I've never seen them or knew they existed. As familiar as I am with the parks and I didn't know about them, you can't expect everyone else to know about them either.

I think we've reached the end of this discussion. If you choose to debate it further please go to our debate board.
