Since I have been going to the World since 1972 there are a lot of favorite restaurants that are no longet there. We loved the Empress Room, Steermans Quarters, Fishermans Deck, Papate Bay Verandah, Tangorra Terrace and Top of the World.

Our current favorites are Olivia's, Prime Time, Hoop Dee Do (also a past favorite) Chefs de France, Beirgarten and Mama Melrose!

We have had a lot of places we dined that have gone downhill recently and we hope they come back to where they were :)

I have been going since 1974...I was 3! (Born 3 months to the day before WDW opened).

We went to Cosmic Ray's all the time before it was cosmic ray's...they used to have the live band there who dressed 'futuristic'. Can't remember at the moment what it was called.

I remember doing the Empress Lilly too. We went as a character breakfast. I have a pic of me (a polaroid) with Mr. Smee.

Oh, the old gourmet store at DTD (formerly Disney shopping village) that had the deli. I loved the shrimp that were as big as your hand. That store always smelled weird with all the cheeses and stuff....but I just liked it for some reason. We always went and got pastries for breakfast there on our last day.

I don't know where they came from, but I used to get a little individual pizza in Fantasyland. It was in a white box and it was before ANYONE, including pizza hut, had individual pizzas. I don't know if they were any good. I just liked that it was all mine and little kid size.

LOVED the juices that came in the plastic cups shaped like the fruit of the juice. We always came home with a bunch of plastic grapes that I drank the juice out of.

The citrus swirl at sunshine tree terrace, when it was REAL OJ...I just found out that it's some sherbet crap now...makes me sad.

I always really loved the Tomorrowland Terrace too when it was CS. I always wanted to go there for dinner so I could watch the fireworks there. I usually fed my meal to the birds there instead of eating it. I was just all about the view (of course, now they have stolen that...but oh well).

At the Dolphin, we LOVED the old dolphin fountain. They used to play the jukebox and all the CMs would dance in their poodle skirts in the middle of the restaurant. The ice cream was homemade. I always got Dark chocolate in a waffle cone ...$2.50 and almost a pint of homemade ice cream in a homemade waffle cone.
One time my mom ordered the FRESH lemonade there. It took them a while and we thought they were squeezing it and making it. It came out and was pink. She asked what lemons it came from?? They said they were out and had to go to room service and get what they had. It wasn't fresh...but it was funny.

Loved the Top of the World Lounge...I got to get the Mickey Mouse/shirley temple and we always had the place all to ourselves and the waitresses wore very short fluffy skirts...I remember thinking I wanted to work there so I could wear the pretty outfit.

We always stayed off property (We tried to get a room at the Contemporary once, it was $40 a night and there was a 2 year waiting list) ...far away cause Kissimmee was all orange trees. MK was the only park and stayed open VERY late. So the only place to get food at night was the 7/11. We didn't have them back home, so it was actually kind of a treat to get the 5 gallon size big gulp to share and a gas station sandwich...lol...ah...nostalgia.

Wow...thanks for the walk down memory lane!!!!!!
