What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

We had a swimming pool. Neighbor kids would show up at the door with swim suits already on and my mom would invite them in and send them on back to the pool.

That is pretty bad. I'm a smoker and even I couldn't stand it. It's been 15 years since we smoked anywhere indoors including our own house. I can't imagine. Is smoking indoors common there? Why don't they just step outside? If I remember right there's also a young child in the home, no?

It's not common anymore, but my aunt's generation always smoked in the house so she does and my cousin follows suit. She doesn't feel she should step outside in her own home, and smoking by the vent in the kitchen is their "solution."

Yes, we have a two-year-old in the house. If I can smell the smoke as soon as I come out of my room, which is upstairs, then he is inhaling it, too. I've gently pointed this out to no avail, and I can't get more forceful. I have to live here and I only do so because I stay in my aunt's good graces, so I put up with it. My other cousin (the two-year-old's Mom) doesn't like it either, and now that she's finished her EMT training and gotten a job with a fire department she's actively looking to move into her own place. I don't have that luxury.:(

See-through tops for women. Even some basic cotton t-shirts are made so thin and sheer, you need to wear something else (tank/camisole, etc.) underneath. I don’t want to wear two layers, just want a comfy shirt that doesn’t show my bra. Also, shirts with wide-cut necklines that show bra straps.

 Maybe you could go with the cousin?

Proximity and family connections. I grew up in a very small rural community and with the exception of a rare few " family feuds", everybody was friends with everybody and had been for generations. There were only about 60 kids in my school K-9. We were all friends.

Can't. She's looking at two bedroom places for her and her son. Also, she's not easy to live with as it is. At least my aunt is easy-going. The devil you know...

Thanks for the suggestion, though. :flower3:

I was pretty sure you'd have already thought of it. You sound like a very nice person who gives more than she takes in the family dynamic and I wish you well.

Not too busy for me , went past the pub a few there , didn't see many when I walked on to the garden centre m

When I'm in WalMart I care. Holy Moses, what a fashion parade that place can be.

I would argue that if it really bothered you that much you wouldn't shop there or at least do the curb side pickup.

The so called fashion police are far worse that those who are fashioned challenged. One of the best things about living in Seattle is the attitude is "Come as you are". At the office you will see shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, yoga pants, etc... Nobody cares.

As for that, the one thing I remember was when Wells Fargo hired Landon Donovan to do this:

Not a good look.
Yeah, it wasn’t at the time but now fans laugh it off and think of this moment instead:

🙃

I went to the liquor store at 10:45 on Wednesday morning, I was the only one there (it was on my way home from an appointment).

Picked up supper last night from a counter-service Japanese place and it wasn't too busy, thank goodness. Covid protocols make things awkward though. You go inside through one door to order and then have to wait outside for a text that your order is ready. Then you go back in another door to pick it up but the Door Dash delivery people have priority and only one person at a time can be inside. They kept coming-and-going so it was a bit of a long wait and hectic feeling.
