What is your not so normal item to pack, which is helpful while at WDW ?

I got over the door organizers at the dollar tree .

Where do you hang the over the door organizers?
I bought one but now trying to figure out what door there is to hang them over. I suppose I can bring some ties and tie them over the closet bar but just curious if I forgot about a door that would allow me to hang it.

I'm thinking there is a door maybe where the toilet is which is separate than the sink area??? I'm a visual person when it comes to organizing so it's killing me to not be able to picture the layout.

I also bought some folding little shelf organizers at the Dollar store and we just used them for a couple nights get away. Worked great to have things not all over the desk and bathroom sink.

Yes there is a bathroom door. I don't know where your staying but in values and moderates the door separates the shower and toilet from the sink.

Everyone please be careful with the over the door organizers. They have already been banned from Disney cruise ships as they were causing damage to the doors. Put a towel over the door first and then clip on the organizer.

I got this case at Walmart that holds bathroom junk and its a travel case to put everything in it folds up small than unfolds into a hanging thing and has a hook and I put it in the closet rack. I love it. Everything stays in it during travel and than folds back up to go home.

At the Pop we hang ours on the closet rod next to the bathroom counter and sink. At the Poly we hang ours outside the shower curtain rod.

The recipe I use is 2 cups water, 2/3 cups Downy, and 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol. However, I actually use a little less than 2/3 cups Downy.

Thanks so much for posting the recipe. I looked at the travel size the other day while at Wal-Mart and decided that such a small bottle wouldn't go very far. I'm going to mix a batch up today and test drive it with a few things in my never ending ironing pile :sad2:.

I also love the idea of packing Purex 3 in 1 sheets (instead of buying laundry detergent/softener/dryer sheets there) but am having a hard time finding them. I'm guessing they have been discontinued. I've seen them on Amazon and Ebay, but too expensive for me to justify them.

I pack a string of battery operated LED lights. I wrap them around the handle of our stroller so we can find it in the crowd after the lights go down. Total lifesaver after Fantasmic! Picked them up on amazon for under $10.

I picked mine up at the dollar store for $2.00 :thumbsup2

I stay the value resorts where storage space is limited. I pack collapsable boxes from Dollar Tree. I put one on the vestibule next to the tv and each evening I toss all the bits a pieces I collect throughout the day (reciepts, things to put in my scrapbook etc).

I put a couple on the rack over the closet and put socks, undies, toiletries, meds in them.

Love this idea! My husband empties his pockets and we have receipts, change, etc all over the table.

EVERY DAY take pictures of your kids near something measureable. Like a trash bin, etc. This will show what your child looks like, is wearing and an approximate height. I know NO ONE wants to need this, but best to be prepared.

Also pics of the front and back of tickets, credit cards, etc. If you loose them you have the info to call and replace.

Great ideas! Thanks for sharing!

Love these & have been looking for an excuse to buy some, LOL! Never thought about using them for travel. I typically start with a large cup that we use to collect change, etc but it gets overfilled quickly & dosn't fit odds & ends. These are perfect since they collapse for packing!

I just read all 100 pages and made a huge list! Its our first trip and I think I will be shipping a box or 2 to the resort! Thanks for all of the tips!

Also a brilliant idea if someone in your party uses a scooter/wheelchair. We did this last year and not only did it help us find the right scooter after a ride, it helped us spot our dad in a sea of heads in a crowd (the scooter rider is at a lower level so they can be very hard to spot). So many people asked where we had got the lights and we had to disappoint them by saying we got them at our Target back home...

I found some at Walmart for around $8 that's are pumpkins, they had ghosts & spiders too. I hope they last long enough to use during our trip and on our tent at Halloween

100 pages... 3 days ...

I thought I had EVERYTHING strange/odd already on my list ... but so many good ideas I had to add to my already lengthy list.
Thanks !! Can't wait for Nov 29th !!

nightlights are a must wherever we are vacationing
mini flashlight
old washcloths - freeze/take to parks - no problem tossing them
ziplocks of all sizes
snack pack cereal
flushable wipes
roll of toilet paper -- POP century's tp isn't the softest if you have bathroom issues
chip clips
Ginger pills - helps with motion sickness without the drowsiness (last trip I rode the tea cups with 4 spinning kids and didn't have a problem)

we bought rubber bracelets (like the lance Armstrong bracelets) with imprints of our cell phone # for our kids to wear on our previous trips -- got them at shanrene.com for only a couple bucks. the little ones wore them on their ankle.

I forgot to add... this isn't something to take, but a way to pack...
I don't dedicate suitcases to any one person... I mix outfits in every suitcase for everyone. That way... if one (or two) suitcases gets lost or arrives late -- everyone will at least have 1-2 outfits.

Also pack a swim suit and extra outfit in a carry on for everyone too... same reasoning as above ... plus that way we get there and we are ready to go ASAP.

We bought a waffle maker at Kohls last year for $10...I took it to Disney with plastic bottles of pancake batter mix (just add water and shake from Wal-Mart) and a bottle of syrup. Each morning as others were getting ready and taking turns in the bathroom, I cooked waffles and had them ready as each person got ready. Saved us a TON of money on b'fast!

Hey guys, I've seen a couple comments about people packing white noise machines, which I TOTALLY get.

For free, or just a couple bucks, you can get apps for your phones that are really good white noise machines, with huge libraries of sounds/settings.

My husband uses SleepMaker Rain most often. There are others out there that might be more your style, but they'll save you room in your luggage! :)
