I have 3 races (so far) on my calendar for the rest of the year.
Next is the Bill Robinson Masters 10k on 4/30. Only those over age 40 can compete. I just turned 40 in Nov, so now I get to run with (and get schooled by) the geezers

. But seriously, I have done tons of 5ks and 5 halfs, but never a 10k. Its a flat course, cheap entry ($12) and very close to home.
In August I have the Camp Chingachgook Challenge Half, in scenic Lake George, NY. My DD will go to camp there for the week the day after the half. It is a hilly, challenging course, and will take me WELL outside of my comfort zone.
Last big race is my "A" race, the Mohawk Hudson River Half Marathon in October. There is a full marathon at the same time; different starts, same finish (which is nice, keeps the crowds down). Only 850 for the half; 1250 for the full. Ran it this past fall, injured myself on course, but still finished with my second best time. The full is one of the best qualifiers for Boston (well it was at least). Another race that is close to home, relatively inexpensive ($40) and very well supported.
No Disney race for me until 2013 and my first full
