What is your "must do" at Disney

let's see....at wdw, we absolutely MUST ride POTC and HM at least twice, we must eat at CP & biergarten and we must do TSMM and soarin' as many times as we can.

Mine is very simple. We must do MK the first day, and we must arrive by ferry. It's so magical when you round the bend and the castle looms before you.

On our last trip we skipped this because we had early breakfast reservations at CRT for DD5's birthday... the ferry doesn't run that early so we had to take the monorail. It was worth it to do something so special for her special day, but I wish we could have had both.

Our "must do" is Soarin' and Club Cool. Love to watch the faces on the newbies who try Beverly for the first time.:lmao:

Rent a bike and ride from VWL to the campgrounds and visit the horses. Ride around and see the other camps decorated. Along the paved path their are usually several deer.

Dinner at Boma. I try to include this even during budget trips.

Where do you get on the ferry? I'm staying on site in April and would love to try this!

We try to do something different each time- we have done the wishes cruise, the illuminations cruise, and now each time a "must do" for us isn't in a disney park-its discoery cove. If I am in Disney we MUST spend a day at discovery cove!

Chocolate dipped marshmellows on a mickey straw from the candy store in dtd.

Buzz, Small World, POTC, and Carousel of Progress are must-do rides. We always rent a car, so we can eat at TGI Friday's and Ponderosa (which we don't have in Canada!). Oh...and we have to make a trip to Target. US Targets have way better stuff than our new ones!

Ferry docks at two places, Magic Kingdom (MK) and Ticket/Transportation Center (TTC). If you are going to Magic Kingdom (by car) you will park at the TTC. If you are taking Disney transport from a hotel you will not get to use the ferry. However, you can always jump on it when you leave MK before you catch the bus. Another option is to leave MK and get on the ferry to the TTC, then take the monorail to Epcot. pixiedust: Here is a hint that we found out last time. The top level of the ferry gives a whole new view of Wishes. So if you can time it just right leaving you can see Wishes from the ferry. I don't recommend watching it from the ferry if you have never seen it before, but we had seen it several times and it was a whole new view for us! Good luck!pixiedust:

MK @ opening, and the walk up Main Street USA always has me grinning ear to ear. Soarin' is a must do, and as silly as this sounds, I love the TTA people mover!

Our first day always has to be Magic Kingdom - we know our trip has started once we see the castle :)
We also have to end our trip with wishes while enjoying a citrus swirl - yummy

Holiday Sandwich at EOS and Thanksgiving Dinner at Chef Mickey's

OMG there are so many musts! If I had to pick 3 they would be

1. Riding the monorail loops
2. Dinner at BOMA
3. Electric parade

but then there is...Soarin', HM, COP too! ;)

My parents took us to WDW when I was 12 (many, many, MANY years ago - it was just the Magic Kingdom at the time). One of the strongest memories I have of that trip is watching the fireworks from the ferry as we were leaving. :)

I know! We totally agree with this. It's our favorite day or 2 next to magic kingdom :)
I would have to add to this, the dolphin swim and a private cabana too.
