It was not a park attraction but on our first trip to the World we did the Villians character dinner at the Grand Floridian. Out of all of the disney videos my 3 year old son watched for some reason Capt. Hook was his favorite. He wore his hook costume to the dinner. The captain escorted my son to our table. (they were holding hooks) Sure the character meet and greets are fun but I MISS THAT CHARACTER DINNER!!!
What are some of the fun and unique things you have done or seen that is no longer available...not to be sad because its over but happy because it happened!

That's easy. Discovery Island. Wonderful hours spent there with my family on our first trip when I was 15. Then I HAD to take my new husband when we were there on our honeymoon. The weather was so nice up to that point but the day turned cold and nasty in a hurry. But we still had fun. Every time I see that island now, I wish something would happen to it. Anything. Big heavy sigh.

I miss 20,000 Leagues under the sea. I liked that ride. Discovery Island was nice too!

Driving our golf cart from the Disney Villas to Disney Market place and parking and plugging it in.

I only got to do this on our Honeymoon, but my husband grew up doing this on every trip and it is something I hear about frequently.

we have been to WDW 5 times in the past 7 years- never ridden the Timekeeper. Always closed. So I don't really "miss" it. I just miss it every time. I do miss the Parade at EPCOT. My kids loved the big drum.

I miss the giant, smelly, splinter filled wooden climbing/slide/playground contraption in the middle of DTD, when it used to be called Walt Disney World Village. I still have the rug burns from when I came flying out at the bottom when I was 8 years old!!

Horizons was very unique with the ability to choose the ending. But I have to say that it is a tie between that and Dream Flight. I absolutely love that ride and would love to have it back.

I loved Horizons and Toad, but can you acually imagine if Disney came out with Horizons or Toad now, 2005? People would go nuts! "What the heck!! Disney is losing it with these Mr. Toad cardboard cutouts!! How cheap!" Or the totally grainy movie at the end of Horizons, that allowed you to chose your way back to Earth/home? "Come on!!! Can't they do any better!!" I love looking back at the old rides of WDW, but I enjoy the new stuff as well! ::MickeyMo

Toad AND 20,000 Leagues -- I couldn't choose just one. Oh, and the Lion King show in MK.

Years ago there was a wonderful character breakfast where Bear in the Blue house is now at MGM...let's see: Aladdin and Jasmine, Genie, Japhar, Pocahontas and John Smith, Meeko, Ratcliffe, Esmerelda, Judge Froto and I know I'm missing more. We had fabulous pictures from it; I wish it were still around for the new generation of families. There was great interaction and personal attention. And we miss the Horseshoe Cafe Review at MK in frontierland. It wasn't much of anything last trip...waste of a great location if you ask me.::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsboy: ::MinnieMo

The Sky ride you could get on by Small World and ride high above MK to near Space Mountain that was fun and one of a kind view of MK. ::yes:: :earsboy: :goodvibes

Without a doubt the 20,000 leagues ride. I tell my kids about it all the time, I miss it SOOOO much! My 7 year old says he is going to build it again when he gets older..I hope he does!!!

I miss the Eastern Airline ride that used to be in the MK - I think where the Buzz Lightyear ride is now. I also miss the Lion King show in MK - that was a great show!
