What is your most FAV thrill ride at Disneyland and why?

I love SM bc it's dark and having a million left turns makes me feel nervous and uneven. I obviously would feel better if there were more right turns so I could feel balanced. lol.

I love Splash bc of the last drop. It's so exhilarating and I'm always scared of not being able to breathe once the log splashes into the water.

I love Matterhorn bc of the turns, the smell, and the mist from the waterfalls. I also love the splashy end even though I really don't get wet from it.

I just love all the rides, even if they're not thrill rides.

DL's Space Mountain is amazing. The first time I went to DL was during the multi-year rehab and I was so sad not to get to ride it. Thus, I ended up riding WDW's Space first, and it's okay, but I didn't understand what all the fuss is about.

I grew up near Cedar Point in Ohio and the roller coasters there are far better than Space at WDW imho.

However, since we made it back to DL and I got to ride the rehabbed Space, I was amazed by it. Definitely the best ride at DLR as you are completey immersed in the ride from the moment you enter the show building until you reach the end! This is the only ride at DLR that I would even consider waiting in an 1 hour + long line for!

Space Mountain gets another vote. I like both SM's because of the dark, but since the rehab the DL one is much more fun. Pretty much non-stop from the moment you get on and the music add's a lot to the ride. :thumbsup2 And I think it is the only ride that I've waited 45-60 minutes for in years, otherwise if I don't have a FP and the wait is over 30 minutes for a ride I figure I can wait until next time. ;)

Definitely Indiana Jones because I love the combination of immersive theming and thrills. Because of that reason some honorable mentions include:

-Tower of Terror
-Space Mountain
-Splash Mountain

If you really mean DL/DCA, then I say CA Screamin'.

If you only mean Disneyland, then...I have a hard time characterizing anything there as a thrill ride. For me Space has the "thrill" of worrying if my head is going to be lopped off (they put me in the front seat while riding solo, and I nearly had a panic attack, haven't been able to ride it since), but that's not a FUN thrill.:scared:

I agree, California Screamin' is the only one that rises to the level of "thrill" for me. The rest -- Space Mountain, Indy, Splash Mountain -- are great rides with lots of entertaining theming, but I don't get true thrills when I ride them.

Since I get no thrills at thrill rides my DLR thrills are:
Indy
Soarin
Pirates
GRR

Space Mountain...Splash Mountain...Indiana Jones...I can't pick just one! And if you're counting DCA too, I have to add in California Screamin' and the Tower of Terror. I just can't pick! Lol.

Loved Space, rode 3 times in quick succession, the last time in the front. Woo HOO!

Loved CA Screamin', but again, rode it twice in quick succession... when I got off it the second time, I felt like I had shaken baby syndrome-- I think my brain got rattled around a bit too much. Bit of a sick headache for awhile, but it was the last ride of the night, so that was ok; it was fine when I went to bed a short time later.

Just for fun, go to youtube and watch a CA screamin' video. If you get a good one, you will find yourself swaying in your chair as though you were on it. Whenever I do this, I find myself wearing this huge grin all the way through the video!

The teacups, without question. I never get to ride them because my girl is terrified of being spun around.

Seriously, I'm not sure anything at DLR would qualify as a thrill ride in the truest sense of the word but that said the above posts are spot on.

DL- Space, Splash, Matterhorn, Thunder Mtn. and Indy

DCA- Grizzly River Run, Maliboomer, Cali Screamin' and Tower of Terror

If you think about it taking an adventurous Canoe Expedition on The Rivers of America could be thrilling for many!

I'm not really a big thrill seeker. Splash Mountain is about the biggest thrill ride I get on but I LOVE it!
