What is Your MBTI Personality Type?

That was fun! I am :
Your personality type: "Reliable Realist"

Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.

Careers that could fit you include:

Business executives, administrators and managers, accountants, police, detectives, judges, lawyers, medical doctors, dentists, computer programmers, systems analysts, computer specialists, auditors, electricians, math teachers, mechanical engineers, steelworkers, technicians.

I'm in the 1% minority as well - INTP. What makes it worse is that not only is INTP rare, but a female INTP is rarer still. No wonder I feel like I belong to a different species sometimes. :)

I got INFP, but the bar was very, very close to the middle, so I guess I'm similar.

I did all this stuff in college :)

I am an ENFJ. My husband is a ISTP. Completely opposite :)

You're part of only 1% of the population!

Really? NO wonder I never really fit in anywhere  :rotfl2:

Both test come up as IHTJ for me. The one with the sliding bars the bars are all at least 3/4 of the way towards their sides too. I just now took that second test and Librarian is one of the careers it lists as good for my personality. Given that that was my favourite job ever I guess that is spot on. I am still convinced DH and DD are this type only even stronger. I will have to see. In the meantime I am in the company of:
Stephen Hawking
Marie Curie
Hilary Clinton
Susan B Anthony

ETA: OMG I just read the two descriptions that go along with INTJ on the second test link (as opposed to what I googled last night) and that is SO me. The good and the bad is right there! I notice it is being called the Mastermind on these other links and not The Scientist. . .

OP--thanks for posting this; it's fun.

Most of my friends that I regularly hang out with are NTs, actually.

I have two INTJ friends (a female and a male), two INTP friends (males), as well as an ENTP friend (male).

Then, my best friend is an ESFP (male). I also have a good ENFP guy friend who's awesome, and an ISTJ friend.

Come to think of it, the only types I've never known personally are ENFJs, INFJs, ISTPs, ISFPs, ESTPs, and ISFJs.

My MBTI is seventeen years old...does it still count? ISFP here, still not sure what help this is.

It's amazing how accurate the tests are in matching up type to career. My job is a perfect fit for me and is one of the top careers for INTPs. Actually, most of the careers on the list appeal to me. There are some, though, that I cannot even imagine doing: Lawyer?? Although it may be because my I is very heavily expressed. I've never gotten less than 100% I any time I've taken the test, but it might be a good match for someone with a little more 'E' in them.

I am an ISTJ. (Taken many times back in college and later for work.)

My DH and I both took the test at our jobs several years ago. I'm an ESFJ. He's an INTP. We're exact opposites!!!!! But we're been married for 22 years so it seems to work!

Proving that my children truly are absolutely different personalities:

DD13 tests as INTJ (exactly as I thought after reading it for me) and DS 11 as ENFP (which we all agree DOES sound just like him when we read it).

I really do not know how my poor son lives with the rest of us:lmao:

I'm so lost. Where do you find the 4 letters? It didn't give me them.

I'm an Engaged Idealist:

Your personality type: "Engaged Idealist"

Popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. Usually dislike being alone. They see everything from the human angle and dislike impersonal analysis. Very effective at managing people issues and leading group discussions. Interested in serving others and probably place the needs of others over their own needs.

Careers that could fit you include:

Teachers, consultants, psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, clergy, sales representatives, human resources, managers, events coordinators, politicians, diplomats, writers, actors, designers, homemakers, musicians, religious workers.

I am

Your personality type: "Determined Realist"
Practical, traditional and organized. Likely to be athletic. Not interested in theory or abstraction unless they see the practical application. Have clear visions of the way things should be. Loyal and hard-working. Like to be in charge. Exceptionally capable in organizing and running activities. 'Good citizens' who value security and peaceful living.

Careers that could fit you include:
Military, business administrators, managers, police/detective work, judges, financial officers, teachers, sales representatives, government workers, insurance agents, underwriters, nursing administrators, trade and technical teachers.

I just thought this was too funny because I am a nursing administrator just like it suggests. ESTJ

I'm an INFP, which I believe is the same answer when I took it over on the Teen Board. :D

Well I'm really glad to see that I'm not the only ISTJ here! Man, taking that test I was thinking "Geez, are they gonna tell me I'm a cold-hearted biotch or a nutcracker?!?!" :lmao:

But, yes, it is spot-on. And I found out that I currently have a job that is perfect for my personallity type - accounting. Yep, 7+ years and I still love it!

I'm another rare one here. An ENTJ, and a female one at that. I've only ever met one other ENTJ and we were rivals all throughout college, always running for similar offices, competitive about accomplishments, etc. Senior year we realized we were basically the same. It's just that too strong personalities like ours did not mesh well. We were able to appreciate each other but knew that it was best if we worked in tandem or on separate projects as opposed to trying to work on projects together.

Wait, where is the N coming from? The choice was sensing or intuitive on the test I took. duh, nevermind. I'm INFJ.

Liberty Belle, no wonder you remember me on the boards. I am an INFJ too! I have taken this test at work and I am very true to my personality type. I actually have take this twice, once was when I was young and I came out as INFP. It was explained to me that it isn't uncommon for the P to turn into a J as people get older.

INFJ
Seek meaning and connection in ideas, relationships, and material possessions. Want to understand what motivates people and are insightful about others. Conscientious and committed to their firm values. Develop a clear vision about how best to serve the common good. Organized and decisive in implementing their vision.

I'm an ISTJ.

"ISTJs are very loyal, faithful, and dependable. They place great importance on honesty and integrity. They are "good citizens" who can be depended on to do the right thing for their families and communities. While they generally take things very seriously, they also usually have an offbeat sense of humor and can be a lot of fun - especially at family or work-related gatherings."

Real-life famous ones include Warren Buffet, Queen Elizabeth II, Presidents Washington, Truman and Bush 2.
Literary ones include Darth Vader, Eeyore and Joe Friday (Dragnet).

And, thankfully, one of the career choices is attorney (otherwise I'd have to change profession ;))
