What is your LEAST favorite restaurant at WDW

Have you ever tried eating at ABC Commissary? Now that is one place that I would call bad food, in fact I'd call it atrocious, and have never been to a restaurant anywhere that was as horrible as this place. :goodvibes

I agree!! I am pretty easy to please when it comes to food, but that meal was disgusting. I felt sick after we ate there.

Dinner at Liberty Tree. I think they would have to add a lot of herbs and spices to achieve bland.

ITA. When the characters were there, I could tolerate the food. Now that the characters are gone, I have no use for it.

Also, ABC Commissary had the worst burger I've ever had on WDW property.

San Angel Inn takes top rank for worst food....taco bell was better than this place....and as much asI'd hate to admit it, Chef Mickeys dinner wasn't much better. Character interaction is good but the food was inedible when we visited last year. We won't be returning to either for a very long time.

That's true! Ate there once, cold burgers and stale fries.

I think its clear that almost every restaurant will be somebody's worst. The only place most agree is bad is abc commissary.

I am probably voting against the majority but I would have to say Chef's de France. I love the space and concept, but think the experience is far from memorable.

I thought I was the only DISer who would say Chefs! Nice to know I'm not alone.

I don't get the attraction to the place at all. The food was like it came from a frozen boxed dinner.

Well is seems almost, if not all restaurants have been named as the worst....and I am sure if you asked what is your best?..every restaurant would be named again.

All it proves is everyone has a different personal tastes in food and theming!

(P.S. Of course there can sometimes be a off/ not good meal.......I just think its a shame to say your NEVER going back to give it a 2nd chance based on 1 meal!)

Just IMHO

Coral Reef....awful, stinky fish. Slow service.

Sci-Fi...just not good food and too dark to see what I was eating?????

Chef Mickey...canned food.

The Wave....Hair in my food and people complaining of dirty glasses at another table. Liberty Tree Tavern....Poor service and food that tasted like a TV dinner. ABC Commissary....Just awful.

Tony's. Tried it twice (in case the first time was just an off day) and it was bad both times.

Hollywood & Vine- Not good food and not that pretty or clean; felt like Ryan's would be fine dining at that point. We did as part of the Fantasmic! package though.

Mama Melrose- went about three or four years ago and was soo disappointed. I might would try again though

Crystal Palace - I was not impressed. It was nice to eat in the pretty building but we waited forever for the characters and the food is better at other breakfast buffets in my opinion.

I agree that every restaurant could probably named by someone as their favorite. However, all it takes is one bad experience for you to not want to go back to a restaurant even if it is an off night. I can excuse bad service and try it again. However, if the food is bad, I am not likely to try again if everyone at my table gets something different and none of us like it. That's just the way it works with restaurants. You get one chance. I know this well having worked in a restaurant before. Who wants to pay lots of money to have a bad experience twice??? :confused3

Brown Derby, Mama Melrose, H&V.

Tony's is another one that sticks out in my mind. I agree with a PP that the price you pay for the quality is just ridiculous

Tony's was easily the worst meal we've ever had at a Disney restaurant, including Disneyland in California. Everyone always uses the Olive Garden to slam the Italian restaurants in Disney, but Tony's is worse than that. It's Chef Boyardee quality. It might even be generic Chef Boyardee quality. If Tony were real, he wouldn't even feed that food to the alley dogs.

That being said, Mama Melrose wasn't much better.

I have not been to too many restaurants, but in my opinion, Hollywood & Vine's dinner was my least favorite. Food and atmosphere were... bleh. Also, I went to Mama Melrose the other day and it was really good! I don't understand why people do not like it :confused3

Comments in threads like this have been why I have avoided ABC like the plague on our 2 trips. I honestly have NEVER seen a kind remark about that place on this board.
Been to WDW twice and in all honesty didn't have a bad meal CS or otherwise. I guess because of all the reading I do here I know what to order and where to go. THANKS DIS!! :thumbsup2

50s prime time was really gross and disappointing to me. That and Marrakesh are the only 2 restaurants I will definitely not go back to. Marrakesh food wasn't terrible, and the atmosphere is nice, but it's just not really my thing.

Can DIS'ers please explain why they do not like the food at a TS or CS ?
I agree for DIS'ers should not "YELL" on this thread.

For us - we are not pickey eaters and do most of the time go with the flow.
Hey, we are not food critics or foodies.

Our least favoite is LTT for dinner - our reason, the turkey is dry and not tasty, plus there are no longer any characters at the dinner meal time.

But we love LTT for lunch. The lunch menu is wonderful, the prices are good for guests who pay OOP, plus you get A/C mid-day at WDW.:goodvibes

What we love at LTT for lunch:
New England Clam Chowder = $7 (splurge for DH)
Tri-Corner Sandwich - roast beef and swiss cheese with Liberty Slaw, horseradish cream sauce and arugula served on herbed focaccia with fresh fruit or tavern fries - only $13
Angus Chuck Cheeseburger - topped with bacon and cheddar or mushrooms and provolone served with fres - with fruit or tavern fries - only $13

Drinks cost about $2.50

And from the kids menu
Cheese Pizza - with veggies and sliced apples - only $9 - includes drink

Our LTT lunch approximate total OOP = $61 :goodvibes not a bad price for lunch with A/C:goodvibes
