What is your last work day of the year?

but am curious what other companies give people time off at the holidays?

Construction, about 80 employees. We work year round, but we do shut down over the holidays (paid for all employees + we do bonuses).

Like the Fri before New Year's Day. However, I am off right now, today is day 1 of the vacay... but I have to work that week between Christmas and New Year.

UPDATE: My winter break started yesterday. Last night my family and I sat next to my mother's hospitl bed and until she took her last breath. SHe was a fire brand, counselor for Alcoholics Anonymous, my Girl Scout leader, a community servant, and a former DL cast member in retirement. I am gutted. Going to be a tough Christmas.

I'm so sorry, China Expat. I wish there was a care emoji on here. Your mother sounds like an amazing woman who made a difference in the lives of others. What a wonderful legacy to leave for you and your family.
