I voted for 90, but debated between 90 and 60.

I decided 90 is ideal for me because it's long enough to appeal to the OCD in me, but not so far out that my family looks at me as if I have 2 heads when I start asking about where they want to eat in 7 months. (Takes a month to get opinions and make a decision on where)

I also think 90 will be better for CM's and other Diners alike. Fewer calling and changing things and fewer (dare I mention it) double bookings.

**Disclaimer - I am in no way advocating double bookings at any time, but am simply acknowledging them because they are a fact of life**

Gosh! I guess I am kind of an OCD planner! I chose 180 days out. My trip is over a year away, and I've already planned where we are going to eat. I made a spreadsheet to figure out the costs, and everything! I was just thinking, I wish I could make my ADR's right now... :rotfl:
But with that said, I would absolutely love to be able to walk right up to a restuarant, on your own schedule, and be able to eat there. I think having to make an ADR for every restuarant you want to go to sucks! But if that's what must be done, I might as well get it done early!!

... I would absolutely love to be able to walk right up to a restuarant, on your own schedule, and be able to eat there. I think having to make an ADR for every restaurant you want to go to sucks! But if that's what must be done, I might as well get it done early!!
Yes this would be the ideal scenario...walking in and getting served.

When I purchase a vacation I want to be done with it in one transaction. I do not care for the "game" of purchasing a room or package and then waiting months to find out the park hours Disney might be committing to along with early entrance/late night, event times, etc...and then the silly ADR game. It makes me feel we are more committed than Disney...

I voted for 180 days. However I do believe that the booking window should be the same as knowing park hours, prices for packages etc. If I can book adr's in July for Jan of the next year, all the info should be out for January at that time. And that's what I think they're now doing by changing the adr booking window to 90 days out, b/c they usually have the next years prices out in early October, which would just about go with a 90 day adr window for trips in January, which is when we go.

I voted for 180 days as well. I just like knowing that I have my ressies done early. Then if I feel the need to change them I can always try....

I like the 90 day window because of the park hours not being posted in time for the 180 day window anymore. It's too, too frustrating to debate on whether to take a chance and then have to rearrange. :scared1:

Way to go, Disney! If the park hours must be delayed, thanks for taking that pressure off!

I voted other (you knew there would be one) because I don't care when the window is as long as I know ahead of time what the time frame is I'm happy. 180 days - no problem or 30 days - no problem. I can adjust my planning accordingly

I'm the second other ;). I would be happy with either a 90 or 60 day window as long as the park hours are out a full 30 days ahead of the ADR window.

I voted other b/c I'd prefer a 14-day window. I am a type A person, but I do not like planning meals 6 months before I actually sit down to eat them. A lot of things can change in 6 months.

I voted 120 days (just to be different - j/k).

180 days did seem a little long to me but now (and before) 90 days seems to be a little short.

I'd like it somewhere in the middle (so I can be at least a little OCD).:cutie:

I like the 90 days.

At 180 there are delays in park hours being released, changes in the crowd calendars that I follow, then changes in park hours or parades and such. Which turns into trying to change my ADR's.

I voted 90, because I usually don't get around to making my ADR's until then anyways :rolleyes1

Of course I really miss the old days where you just made 1 or 2 PS's for the really special places (CRT, CM's) and you just walked up to Le Cellier when you were hungry :cloud9: Those really were the good 'ol days :goodvibes

I voted for 180, but should have voted other. Personally, I would love to book my ADRs as soon as I book my trip, as long as the calendar is out from Disney, but then, I'm a nut about these details.:rotfl: I do like the 180 window, I've gotten used to it, looked forward to it, but I do recognize that things change in this economy which force the change in hours/parks so I will go with the flow. This has been a little stressful:scared1: lately though because we are taking our good friends in April who haven't been before and we want everything to be great so I am VERY ready to make my ADRs for that trip and have the date marked on every calendar in the house and will be on the phone first thing that morning.:)

I voted 90, but not because I "just booked the trip". Our trips are booked at least 180 days in advance; more likely 11 months out! I just feel it's easier, especially with multiple trips planned, to wait until closer to trip time to decide where and when we'll want to eat! (but that's just us! ;))

I never had issue with 180 days and I am so OCD I liked it that way, but alot of people do not .A walk up only would sort of be nice, but I remember even when walk ups were still possible alot of the better or more popular places were still hard to get into .

I like the 90 days. I am a first time planner and was totally lost trying to plan everything so far in advance, especially since we booked our trip 180 days out. I was so excited about booking the trip and then found out, OK where ya gonna eat now?:scared1:

I voted other b/c I'd prefer a 14-day window. I am a type A person, but I do not like planning meals 6 months before I actually sit down to eat them. A lot of things can change in 6 months.

Now - I know I said anything would work for me - but 14 days wouldn't be ideal. Sometimes our trips are more than 14 days long. I would want things worked out before we left

I chose 180 days, but I do not have OCD, which is a medical condition that is certainly no joke to those who have to deal with it. It is also a separate condition from OCPD, which is probably what most people are thinking of when they jokingly refer to "OCD".
