Trying to get ideas for our upcoming trip. I panic-booked Ohana (we have never been for dinner) because I knew if I didn't it would be a challenge to try and get it in a week or so. It looks and sounds pretty good but I have read such mixed reviews for it I get a little nervous. The other Adrs we are doing this trip are Crystal Palace lunch, Tusker House lunch, Beaches and Cream dinner, BOG lunch. It is me, DH, DS 11 and DS 9 months. Thanks for the input!!!

BOG.

It's the hardest ADR to get, so I book it for the last night; fewer people have had access to that date.

Second to last is Le Cellier.

same here but only because that's is the park we are in on the last day. have to leave on a high note

The only issue we have is that by the end of our vacation, we are almost tired of eating...but we power through it somehow! :-) We love 'Ohana for the food, the atmosphere, the entertainment, and the adult beverages (Re: my profile pic.) In 10 visits, we've never had a bad experience. 'Ohana is our favorite last-night place. It is a great way to say "aloha" to our vacation.

Oooooh that drink looks AMAZING! Thanks for the Ohana feedback- makes me feel more encouraged!

I love BOG dinner too! Our last day is December 17th and it's supposed to be busy in MK that Saturday because it's a non-party night right before Christmas... I'm not against hopping over but I just don't know if it will be too hectic (mostly keeping the nine month old in mind- otherwise I'd definitely do it!).

We usually choose a place in Epcot (especially for the adult beverages) and watch Illuminations either during dinner or plan so that we can watch immediately after. But the party I travel with is usually all adult (20s up to my mom in her 70s). There's just something about the nations in Epcot at night that we love, so we close out our trips there.

We love Ohana' and kids love it too. We've been going for years. I only had one average meal there because our waiter was non existent but that was years ago and never had a bad experience since. On my last trip in March of this year, the food, service, and entertainment were stellar. They have great coconut races for the kids and a talented musician who plays the ukelele and sings. The skewered meats/shrimps are really delish as well as all the sides and its all you can eat. The drinks are huge and very good. My favourite is the lapu lapu served in a pineapple. It is a little pricy but you get a lot of food and the best part is the dessert: Ohana' bread pudding with banana foster sauce...yum! Plus depending at what time your ADR is at you can see the fireworks from the window, if not walk to the beach to watch them after dinner.

The only negative is the the wait time even with an ADR. There is always a long wait to get seated so bring something to distract the kids.

It is a great restaurant to end the trip. I would keep it.

We usually choose BOG for our last dinner so we are in MK the last night for parades and fireworks but this time we chose Chefs de France because I want to try it. DH wants me to change it to San Angel Inn though so we will see :)

Either the Yachtsman or California grill. We actually rotate these two each trip.

California Grill: Our last nights tend to be Fridays and during the MNSSHP. We make our reservations for around 8:00-8:50 pm so that we can see the Hallowishes one last time. The food is fantastic and the views are awesome as well.

Yachtsman: We plan this dinner for around 7 pm. It usually ends by 8:30 pm so we can head over to Epcot and catch Illuminations one last time. We are steak people than the Yachtsman does steak pretty well. :)

It is never really the same for us. This trip we have Beaches & Cream on our last night. We plan on having a nice dinner/dessert and then we'll walk over to Epcot afterwards for one last hoorah.

We have 14 ADRS booked, and just by chance booked B.O.G. on our last night as we couldn't get Liberty Tree..Its a Saturday night in October and a non MNSSHP night so it kinda works out for us as we like to spend the last evening at MK..

Are there usually younger children at CG? I just don't want to be "that family" with a baby whose behavior will probably be fine but you never know- especially after a long trip. (Of course especially in a place like CG me or my husband would whisk him away so we didn't disturb others paying good money to enjoy their meal)

CG is family friendly. It is the furthest thing from formal that you can have in a signature dinign restaurant. WE have always taken out DGD there and while she was one of those quiet kids, thee was plenty of the families around, so if she lost her indoor voice, I do not think anyone would have heard. It is loud in there. As soon as we were seated a server placed a huge coloring paper in front of her along with crayons.

Our last night is typically CG or Narcoossees. I try to schedule an ADR to coincide with Wishes if possible.

Last night, we're doing 'Ohana this trip. Last morning... we're doing 'Ohana again before going on the Magical Depress. I wanted 1900PF, but decided not to dice around with timing on catching the Depress.

I booked BOG for our last night since there was a reservation available. It is an early one though so we can enjoy our last night hitting as much as we can on the last night

LOL, at the "Magical Depress"!!

I have seen negative reviews of O'hana, but we've eaten there (for dinner) 3 times and have had a great meal each time. Our traditional last night's meal is at Via Napoli - complete with pitchers of sangria. But O'hana will be fun and memorable.
