I am going to Lunch at Akurshus but need another Epcot res! There are so many options, I can't decide! I have been leaning toward San Angel Inn bc of the atmosphere but have been scared to do it bc of the food reviews! I have two girls 5 and 1 going. Any help? My 5 year old does like local hibachi so considered Teppen Edo.

San Angel Inn. It hasn't had a great reputation over the years, but we love vacationing in Mexico...so for us it's like getting a little Mexico fix while we're in The World. The atmosphere, combined with the food (Mexican is our favorite) and the fact that it's the first stop in the World Showcase all make it a place we look forward to eating. Now that La Cava del Tequila has opened and they have a more extensive margarita, it doesn't hurt to throw back one or two of those while we're in there also. :thumbsup2

I love Teppan Edo. But keep in mind we havent been to our local hibachi place yet so we have nothing to compare it to. alos keep in mind that fried rice isnt traditional japanese cuisine....but local hibachi places have it due to popular demand. Having said that, Teppan Edo doesnt have fried rice. if this is something your daughter loves, if its a deal breaker, then i'd consider booking elsewhere. But i really love teppan edo. Great filet (better than the steak i had at le cellier the day prior!), noodles, & desserts!

I also love Rose/Crown. Great food, plus its a good view of illuminations.

Also you cant go wrong with italian food.

Good luck!

I love Tutto, but if I had a child that liked hibachi, I probably would go for Teppan Edo.

I lovvvve Rose and Crown. For our next trip, we wanted to do all new places that we haven't been to before, but DH specifically said he wanted to do this one again because he loved his steak that he had there. I had the fish and chips and it was to die for! The only thing I didn't like was the deserts.

Teppan Edo may be a good bet, but chances are it is a bit different from the local hibachi place: 1) they don't do fried rice, as noted above and 2) soup and salad are not included with the entree. If you want them, they must be ordered and paid for separately. These are the two complaints most often raised by fans of hibachi chain restaurants.

Agreed!! I DO like the desserts, though. Maybe I am just a sucker for sweets? The sticky toffee pudding is one of my favorites in DW. :lovestruc

I really love both La Hacienda de San Angel and Rose and Crown. Having eaten at both La Hacienda and San Angel Inn, I think La Hacienda is much better (delicious food/drinks and great service). Rose and Crown isn't anything special on the inside, IMO (we weren't able to get a patio seat when we dined), but the food is great.

Does it have to be the world showcase? If not, then the Coral Reef is another great option, especially if you can get seated right in front of the HUGE aquarium.

Rose and Crown is our favorite. We just ate there last week. The staff is so friendly. The food is excellent. They just added a Pork duo that was just excellent.

Either Le Cellier for lunch or Teppan Edo! Love both of them. The kids really like Teppan Edo for the food and the entertainment of having their food prepared right in front of them. My DH can't live without the french onion soup and a fillet. We go for both every time! :cheer2:

Definitely Teppan Edo! We have been going to Disney annually since DS was 4 (he is 8 now). Ever since that first year, when he finds out I am making dining reservations, he asks (and begs) for me to include Teppan Edo.

Our favorite, and a must do, is Le Cellier (lunch). The Cheddar Cheese Soup with Pretzel bread, mushroom filet, and the Chocolate Moose Desert are all wonderful and something I can't wait to have before our trips. Other favorite WS restaurants are Akershus for breakfast and Teppan Edo.

We decided to try San Angel despite the not so great reviews and we loved it. Great atmosphere, good food, great margaritas!

WOW! So many decisions! Thanks for all the opinions. I wish I could go to them all. I have no idea where to go still! I may have to give the options to my 5 year old and let her pick! Coral Reef would be great too! I just LOVE the volcano setting at San Angel. Can't decide if I am willing to try or not.... Decisions :)

Tokyo Dining. Hands down my favorite restaurant at Epcot. Maybe my favorite in all of Disney. Now I'm not a sushi aficionado but I've never EVER had a bad meal here - and the service is the absolute best!!
