So far we have gone just before Christmas, Late January, early February and mid October. I think my favorite time so far was before Christmas. I love the decorations and feeling of Christmas, so to feel and see that at Disney was like a dream. One of these days we will go for Christmas even though we would rather not have the crowds.

I'll second the early December pre-Christmas period.

Crowds are non-existent; everything is decorated for the holidays; you can take in MVMCP; the rooms are cheaper, and if you're from Winnipeg , there's no snow!! :)

The weather may be a bit cool some nights, but daytime temps are fine for wearing shorts.

Plus you can shop for sweatshirts instead of tees, Christmas Disney stuff, finish your Christmas shopping, and feel like you've had Christmas before the real thing!!

I'd have to say Sept is our favourite time...yes, it's hot and humid, but the crowds are soooo low - we walk away from any ride that has more than 10 minute wait posted and come back to it later when it's usually walk on! Also, even tho kids have just gone back to school, it's too early in year to have big tests (heck they're only in grade 3 and SK!) and is not too disruptive for the teachers or kids. We also love that every day is a guaranteed swim day. We love to spend time at pool in afternoons and then usually take a dip before bed! I would love to go in Dec to see decorations, but would really miss being able to count on swimming time! We're off again this year in late Sept! Jo

I've been in Nov, Oct, Sept (many, many years ago) and Aug & June (as a teenager- not so many years ago;) )

I liked early Nov. best for weather & crowds....very warm, no Rain, no crowds

Oct. the weathers great but more rain, but busier for MNNSHP & Cdn thanksgiving.

Sept lots of rain- in fact, it's hurricane season, and the year we went (1989  ) we were caught at WDW as hurricane Hugo was making it's way up.

Aug is too hot for me,

June was also nice..lots of crowds..but now your testing my memory.

This year i'm going in late Oct and I'm still trying to swing a Dec. trip, I'd REALLY like to be there for the Christmas decor & MVMCP

The first week of Dec. or early April. I love the decorations at Christmas or the flowers in the spring

I have to choose Christmas. We have been in October, early December and at Christmas. The week leading up to Christmas was great, not alot of people and we were able to see and do everything we wanted before the crowds started. It was great to be standing on Main Street on Christmas morning.Wouldnt hesitate to do this again.

So far I have been in August (was in my teens and could take the heat....not anymore. lol), September, late Oct/early Nov and Early December. My favourite time is first 2 weeks of December. With all the Christmas decorations and events combined with low crowds it just awesome. Not too far behind that comes Oct/Nov. Food and wine festival, reasonable crowds and great weather! :sunny:

First 2 weeks of Dec are our favourite times to go. We l ove all teh decorations and the crowds are far less than peak times like march break and the summer etc. We take our oldest daughter out of school for the 2 weeks it is our pre chistmas gift. We also feel that if we are going to go someplace warm why not go and leave the cold behind.

Whenever I can get there!

Seriously, though - I'd have to agree with early December. I loved the Christmas theming and events, and their "cool" daytime weather was still good enough for swimming for my DD!

We love going at the beginning of May. The weather is so nice. Second fav would have to be first two weeks in October. Wonderful weather and non-existant crowds. Its going to be interesting for us though, as we will be leaving in 39 days, so we will get to experience August.

I have always went in May and enjoyed it, however, one time I took my 2 nephews with me in the month of June, and it rained the whole time we were there. The day that we were leaving to come back home the sun came out> So I would say my fave time would be May. Side note> that is the month i am planning to go to WDW next year.

We have always gone over Easter, March-April, so that we get a couple of extra days, without using vacations days. Its always busy, I love it. Next year Easter is in March, but we are not going until April, hopefully we will miss some of the crowds. Have never had a problem with accommodations, but line-ups at the parks are long. Usually get good weather then, not too hot or humid.

When is the best time to go is dependant upon what your priority is when you get there. For us it is not TOO hot and lower crowds. We can pretty much take vacation any time of the year so this is an added bonus. My sister is a school teacher and she knows that whenever she goes it's going to be busy.

That said:

January -- lower crowds, colder weather maybe
February -- first part is lower crowds but second half is busy, can be cold and rainy, stay away the last half because of President's Day and the Daytona 400.
March -- weather is usually nice but school breaks make it busy
April -- the best month if Easter is not in that month.
May -- lower crowds the first half, but it can be hot (in 2002) it was in the high 90's every day. My DD was 7 months old so we spent a lot of time in stores (that's not a bad thing)
June, July -- can't say because I've never been there in those months
August -- very hot, less crowds at the end
September -- can be very hot and it's hurricane season ( I think everyone should experience an hurricane once in their life. Ours was a category 1 and that was scary enough for me.)
October -- busier but more moderate weather plus there is MNSSHP to go to. (It's definetely worth the time and money)
November -- first half is great, stay away during the American thanksgiving. This is my favorite time to go. As you can see below that's when we're having our first trip home.
December -- tied with November because the crowds are low, the weather is temperate but can be rainy, but the Christmas decorations are fabulous. Plus you can go to MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional. Stay away over Christmas though.

I'm sure this doesn't help your decision, but have fun getting everything ready.

We always enjoy the springtime for a trip to Disney. The weather is still much warmer than Nova Scotia but not so hot that we cannot do the park hopping. :)
