What is your favorite thing to do...

on days when you are in port, but don't choose excursions or even getting off the ship?

We just booked a 4-day for this December and do not plan on leaving the ship. Aside from taking advantage of the deserted pool, what else does everyone do in this situation?

I would enjoy going to the Rainforest Room, or taking other spa treatments. I enjoy walking around the parts of the ship I normally don't visit. I enjoy reading on the veranda or Deck 4. Ping-pong is fun. There are usually some activities offered onboard.

What is your favorite thing to do... on days when you are in port, but don't choose excursions or even getting off the ship?

What I have come to enjoy on a cruise is the ability to do as much or as little as I choose. The days in port find me either going to a shore excursion, being on a shore excursion or returning from one. In any of the "inbetweens" you will usually find me exploring the local area and shopping. (I am of the opinion a person NEVER has enough shirts). My best buddy and his wife once came over and counted my "shirt collection" - their wording, not mine. They stopped counting upon reaching a number which would allow me to refrain from doing laundry for a year yet never having to wear the same shirt twice.

If I stayed on the ship, I'd probably do some exploring, challenge my son to an ice-cream eating contest at Scoops, shoot some hoops, peruse the Navigator for any activities (although THAT is a line of bull since any Diser worth their "salt" would have completed such a task the night before!), make use of the spa equipment AND massage services, play shuffleboard and/or ping pong, take in a movie (doubtful), devise a makeshift fishing rod and try my luck from the verandah (is that legal?), read a book, write a book, let my son read a book to me, sleep in the shade... you get the idea. Have a great cruise in the way that makes you happy...
