What is your favorite thing to do on DCL?

Evans Family said:
Having someone else pick up my dirty wet towels.

Having someone else fetch the ketchup, drink refills, butter, straws, napkins, forks, spoons, knives....etc.

Not doing dishes for a week.

No grocery shopping.

No phone.

No playdates.

No carpool.

No car.

Not making my bed.

No cooking.

Being entertained instead of being the entertainer.

AMEN!!!

I have to put in my 2 cents worth... I've been 4 times and each time we snorkel at the adult beach first thing. We've gone out to where they sunk the old machinery to see what new fish there are. Every time there are more varieties and numbers. We have to check out the little stingray and his fishy friend too. I have photos of both of them from each cruise. It's like visiting old friends... :love2:

oh, and the berries and whipped cream at the Palo brunch! :sunny:

Taking my daughter to see her favorite characters. I know that you can also do that at the parks but it just feels more special and intimate on the ship.

Get up real early and have coffee with my daughter on the pool deck before the ship comes fully awake. :sunny:

Coffee+Sunrise+Verandah+Big fluffy robes = two VERY happy cruisers!

I'm one who likes my vacations full from AM to PM--I'm kinda like that in real life, too.
But I did like being virtually completely cut off from the world. (this from a news junkie!)
I was shocked how much I liked hanging at the pool/beach w/ a cocktail!
I loved all the choices of activities--what to do next.
I loved meeting new people!
We did Princess w/o kids for first cruise; DCL will be different w/ kids! Because we are going w/ ALL of DH's family, I doubt we will have the fun w/ new tablemate as before, and children will add a new spin--undoubtedly both positively and negatively!
BUT I CAN'T WAIT! Gosh, I need another trip to somewhere to get me to December!

Coffee on Deck 10 early in the morning
Watching the ship pull into a new port and dock
Specialty coffee when Cove Cafe opens
Sitting on verandah whether ship is docked or moving
Being pampered at dinner
Watching the shows
Castaway Cay beach experience
Exploring the ship and enjoying how nice it is
Watching other people's little kids with the characters (my DD is a teen now)
- I remember when she had to get everyone's autograph at WDW when she was 5, we never got Minnie and she was sad. On the cruise it seems easier to get them all but she doesn't care now ;)

Yep! :cool1: All of the above are my favorites too. It's ALL good. :cheer2: Love the shows also. Palo's morning, afternoon and night. Rain Forest, Cove Cafe playing cards with DH. Looking forward to our 7th Disney cruise Dec, 05.

I like to eat breakfast, then when Beach Blanket opens, I get my first lunch of the day. Then my second lunch at Tritons - then back to the room just in time to get room service so I don't spoil my dinner...just kidding (kind of)! It is so nice to just relax! You are going to have a great time!

I love to eat breakfast outside at Topsiders. (I never take the time to eat breakfast at home, so this is a real treat for me, especially while staring at the ocean under the sun!!)
I love lounging at the pool and watching the adult pool games.
I love sitting (and sleeping) on Deck 4 chairs, watching the ocean.
I love watching Disney Dreams.
and I cannot forget all the free food!!!
Do not miss Pub Night in Diversions.

(must have atleast one sailaway drink, a BBC, and a konk cooler on Castaway Cay!!)

I love all of your ideas, keep them coming...

I see a definate relaxing, eating, drinking theme... my idea of a perfect vacation

Having our little Princess happily play at Flounder's while DH and I sneak off to Palo for dinner and Chocolate Souffle! :tilt:

Spending time with my family
Enjoying Castaway Cay and a conk cooler
Adult pool and hot tubs
Palo - especially brunch
Quiet Cove - either inside or outside in the comfy chairs watching the ocean
The shows - Disney Dreams and Golden Mickeys are my favorites
