What is your favorite thing about your Home Resort

So what is your favorite thing about your primary home resort?

We love the barefoot ambiance of BCV. Also, we eat many of our suppers in Epcot and its wonderful to be able to return home then (or after fireworks) without having to wait for a bus.

We own at OKW & SSR. We are staying at OKW for the first time this December so I'll have to weigh in then. We bought OKW as it is hands-down the most beautiful resort on property and the golf course is visible. The BF loves his golf.

SSR - quiet, I was able to see the BF play golf from our balcony (even got some pics!), walking to DTD, free pool at the turf club lounge and another beautiful resort to just take walks and relax.

Odd I came across this post today because just last night I was laying in bed thinking about the pillows that I'd be sleeping on in a week at HHI resort. My pillows are pancaked and not very comfortable.

But basic stuff we like about our home resorts:

HHI- that we can drive there easily and don't have to buy park tickets or TIW card (or DP). And we love, love, love the island.

OKW- room size and layout...cheap point cost...busing if staying in the HH section **will disclose that this is our least fave east coast DVC resort

AKV- stunning resort with tons of stuff to distract us (animals)...rooms with extra bathroom...dining options are awesome...not bad point cost

BWV- location, location, location as Epcot is our fave park...standard view is best deal for point cost...first DVC resort stay was here, so nostalgia

Also like that HHI, OKW and AKV have the sleeper chair in the 1/2 bedroom villas....DS loves the sleeper chair.

1) BWV - you always have a soft spot for your first. Purchased there for the standard point requirements & proximity to F&W, the clown pool has grown on us over the years.
2) VWL - at the time we added on, it was 'the' MK resort. Love the theming and the peaceful frame of mind we segue into there
3) AKV - our newest addition. Value studios are perfect for couples looking to stretch their points and the theming and access to wildlife is extraordinary.

SSR- I love the walk to DD, strolling the grounds. and the view of DD from Congress Park.

AKL- Walking into the lobby at Jambo, sitting on the balcony watching the animals.

BLT- Being able to walk home from MK, going up to Top of the World to watch Wishes and then going back to the room. Drinking coffee on the balcony in the morning, watching the boats start their day.

OK after a number of years, we have loved coming to BCV. It was fresh and we marveled at the style plus SAB

After all this time, we are used to it as comfortable alternative to our house. So as silly as it sounds, my favorite thing is the high water pressure. We are on well water and have low pressure for showers and at BCV I can stay in the shower for half an hour just enjoying it. It's the little things in life that make a difference to me.

So what is your favorite thing about your primary home resort?

OKW is a beautiful resort with mature landscaping. Love being able to park in front of the unit. Like the walking trail to downtown disney.

We own at SSR. We are runners, so we love all the space to run with the beautiful landscaping.

Wilderness Lodge and the Villas hold a special place in our heart. The resort reflects everything Disney.

BCV: Location to Two theme parks and the boardwalk and Stormalong Bay for the grandchildren

VWL: Since the majority of our vacations are over the Christmas holidays, this is the only place to stay over the holidays. Atmosphere/aura is unmatched by any resort at WDW....JMHO though

BWV love walking around the lake, love being able to walk to two parks, love the standard room points requirements.

BWV - family loves the location. Not just the location to two parks but the Boardwalk atmosphere as well.
