What is your favorite part about October?

It is my favorite month...time for pumpkin spice lattes & cheesy made-for-tv Halloween movies (my guilty pleasure - can you believe someone tried to throw out my VHS of The Halloween Tree last week?! The horror!! )

And, of course....MNSSHP (I'm going for the first time Oct. 22nd!) and Food & Wine !! (The best time at the World, IMO)

Why do you love this fabulous month?

I'm a bit jealous...here in Florida, I don't see any leaves changing until January-ish. Very anti-climatic. However, I once camped up near Asheville, NC and all the trees changed literally over the weekend....it was breathtaking!

I love October because it is the kick off to the Holiday season. Apples, pumpkins, wonderful treats, cooler weather...

Someday I hope/wish to make it over to the World to see all the Halloween stuff, but we are headed down to Disneyland for 2 days- our first Halloween trip!!

One of my favorite October things to do is to go and roam around Salem, Ma with my 16 year old daughter and take pictures!!

To start off with...October is my birthday month...that in itself makes it great...lol...I really like the changes in season...In October the lower temps set in, the leaves start to change color and yes....the pumpkin items show up....I too, like it because it starts the holiday season and I love the Halloween movies (not the scary ones)....I have a lot of them on DVD, but I can't resist watching them when they come on TV...

I usually set myself up on a weekend and watch all of the HalloweenTown movies back to back...gets me in the mood to decorate the outside of the house with orange and purple lights...and various "scary" items in the yard...it sounds kinda corny...but I love to see the kids faces when they come up to the house to collect candy.

Ah, someone after my heart! I've never encountered anyone who likes (or admits to liking) the HalloweenTown movies...they are my hands down favorite halloween movies. They could make another 20 of them and I'd watch them all! I get eye rolls from the family when they show up on my DVR

I forgot to mention, that I love October for pumpkin everything...pumpkin muffins, pumpkin soap (just got some awesome soap from etsy), pumpkin decoratons...

October is the anniversary of when DH and I met. We met at a Halloween Party.

I love the fact that October is when it really starts to cool off here in Central Florida - the weather forecast is 60's at night - woohoo!!!

I love MNSHHP, love to see Halloween decorations and love to see the kids Trick or Treating.

October is a good month in my book.

October is my very favorite month. Despite my first born turning 16 this month and getting her dreivers permit !
I love the cool, crisp air.
I love wearing a big, comfy sweatshirt but no coat.
I love not being hot and sticky anymore.
I love going for cider and donuts and appple picking every weekend for breakfast.
I love the Hilton Apple Fest (this weekend, a never miss fest for me!)
I love taking the above mentioned apples and making pies, sauce, crisps etc.
I love curling up on Sunday afternoon on the couch with my DH and some football snacks and watching the game.
I love all the pumpkin decorations.
I love a hot cup of cider and warm baked snickerdoodles (my favorite, but even better in fall!)
I love seeing the leaves change and fall.
I love watching the kids play in the leaves.
I love bonfires on a chilly evening.
I love sleeping in a cold bedroom.
I love going to the pumpkin farm and doing all the fall activities, hayrides and pumpkin picking.
I love carving the pumpkins into Disney faces.
I love toasting pumpkin seeds.
I LOVE HALLOWEEN!
I love watching The Great Pumpkin.
I love saying that next month we are going to Disney World!

I am sure there is more but that is what comes to mind. LOVE October!!!

I love the beautiful colors of the leaves, Starbucks caramel apple cider, caramel apples, pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting, the Peanuts "Great Pumpkin" show, and now with a little grandson (and one on the way in January), I am looking forward to sharing Halloween fun with them! I can't wait to see Kai (almost 3 months old on Halloween) in his little pumpkin outfit!

October is my favourite month. I am not a summer person. Heat bothers me. If you're cold, you can always put something on and be warm. There's only so much decent society will let you take off.
I love October for the fall colours. I love October because it's when I got married. And I love October because it means the wife and I are GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!

Woo-hoo!! I'm going later this month too...and am very excited for my first MNSSHP! And my first stay at one of the Resorts (AKL)!

As for not being a summer person, I'm not one either. Which is ridiculous because I live in Florida (and not even near WDW). This time of year, I love, love the weather and completely block out my memories from the sweltering summer. I guess that's why I haven't gotten around to moving out of the humid nasty that is inland north florida.

I live up in Nebraska and I HATE the fall and winter. So going to Disney for me in October is like rolling the season back to summer for one week in my crazy little fantasy world. I love Flrodia and the hot weather. Some day I wll get my wife to feel the same way.

We still find less crowds there in October. It also is when the pace at my work backs off a bit.

Plus Food and Wine!
