O.k. I am getting real itchy my hubby is working hard on my room. So My Question is how do you store your stuff.m do you have a favorite something that you think is the best. Are you willing to share with us. for example I have a very old 5ft. tall office cubby where I am planning to store all my sizzix dies. and all my diecuts. hubby is going to make boxes to fit in the openings.:chat:

a few of my favorite are -

The CUBES of course! I leave the bottom one regular size and my albums fit in there!

IRIS carts from Office Max and Staples - I have a HUGE one with 2 BIG drawers and 4 small drawers and I have all adhesives in a drawer, all stamping stuff in a drawer, all chalks, pencils, etc in another. THEN I have the 6 Drawer one that I have all my sizzix dies in and embellishments too

My favorite is my BUCKET
if you do a searchon twopeas for pattyt you can find a picture of it!
Hubby bought me these round trays that are divided into three compartments each, and stack three tall in a 'MUD' bucket (I bought a cute pink bucket at Walmart though) He even got me a little cover!
So for all of about $12 I have a ton of storage for that otherwise awkward stuff - fibers, page pebbles, buttons, charms, etc!

Hope this helps!

Patty T I bought on of the storage itrems( the ones for nails) min is the large ones it has15 bug drawers perfect for tags and fibers I buy the plastic bags3x5 to store fibers each drawer is for a color.

sounds good!

As soon as I have my scrapping room I might do something like that -
right now I have to share my space with our bed

I bought one of those thingees that beauty shop people keep by their chairs to hold scissors, rollers, etc. It's about 4 feet tall, on rollers, with 2 divided drawers and 3 full size drawers. Also has shelves on the side. I put all my stuff in there except for paper, put it next to me when I crop, and keep nothing but my paper and what I'm working on on the table. The best part is that the front slides down and locks, so I can just throw the whole thing in the back of my car when I go to a crop.

This is a great thread.

I said at one time I did not want to own any more then I could fit in my XXL Cropper Hopper. Well, I out grew that long ago but I never really got well organized. I have tons of small Rubbermaid boxes with all sorts of unorganized stuff in them. I often forget I have something and re-buy it. Other times I run across something I wish I knew I had for a layout that I have just completed.

My question is how do you actually decide what goes where. By subject, by color, by type. or any other system.

For me the best organizer if the cubes I got at Target. I have two sets and it's amazing how much they helped my scrap room. As for sorting, I go by theme. I also put certain themes together that might overlap (i.e. Christmas/Winter, Summer/Vacation, etc.). It doesn't always stay neat, but it's easier to know at least which direction to look in - :p

All of you who have scrapping areas are so lucky! I keep dreaming about the day..
So I am the portable traveler.
I use my crop in style xxlarge bag to hold my stuff in
I have 3 paper takers for my 12x12 I sort it by color except for special paper, such as Disney, velumm, or baby theme that all goes together.
I just bought this wonderful tackle box. It has lots of little compartments to store all of my tools and embellishments. That is my job for today day!
I have a Sticker binder for all of my other goodies!
Storage is a poblem, especially if you are always moble. Never know what you have!

My DH just recently finished my craft room in our basement. So far my favorite things are my 12 by 12 acrylic paper stackers (QVC), my Iris carts for scraps and larger supplies, and tilt bins mounted to the wall by my desk for adhesives, buttons, fibers, and all other small items.

and I really LOVE - thanks Maggie - the SCRAP CLUB boxes - my SS mailed me stuff in the box -= and the boxes were the right size to put theme stuff together in -
exampoles I have 1 box all DISNEY scrap stuff - paper, stickers, swap, stuff - and when I go on my next trip and I'm ready to scrap all I have to do is grab that box!
I also did an Americana one and an SEI sets one - two boxes fit together in the CUBE and I labeled the end !

I actaully joined Club Scrap this moneth too - I can't wait to get my new BOX!
LOL
