What is your favorite site at the fort and why?

I know any site at the for is good but some are a little better than others. We have stayed at the fort 6 times, every time in the 2000 loop as the first was in a tent in July (never again) and the rest in our pop-up. We have outgrown the popup. This year we have 2 weeks booked and will be in our new travel trailer. We have reserved a premium site and I have obsessed looking at pictures, maps etc... I know you get what you get as they can't accommodate all requests and that's fine. I'm just excited to be spending 2 weeks there.

So if you could have any site, which one would it be and why?

So Premium means you're looking at loops 400, 500, 700, 1100, 1200, 1300? Bama Ed

If you liked the 2000 loop any site would do. Personally, i have never stayed in a medows premium site. I did stay in perfered, and liked the access of the 100 loop. I didnt like that the pool was far, but the weather wasn't condusive for swimming during that trip anyway. I would say get something close to what you want to do, so if you plan on the pool a bunch, closer to that, if you plan on walking acess to the boat, get closer to that. Best sites are for the most part dependent on what you want to do. Thats only after the does my camper fit on the site debate. Have fun.

Yes, we did not book Meadows Premium. Premium looked to have more space.

We will have a golf cart but a couple of teenagers who don't always want to be with us old folk so they will walk a bunch.

We have stayed in 400, 500, and 1100. The only complaint I would have is noise. You can avoid this by choosing sites further from the roads.

We were in the 800 loop twice, but that was just before the renamed them meadows premium. I've been in the 400 loop. Honestly, as long as it's a premium site with enough room for me to swing into the site I'm not too pressed where they put me.

420

Nastalgia mostly, first site I ever stayed on. Close to marina. At back of the loop so not as noisy.

Just curious - what was your favorite loop for your pop up? We just got one last year and are staying at the Fort next September. Thank you!

Depends again on what you want and like. Do you plan on a full hook up site? Or just a tent site? Full hook ups are good for long stays for pups with bathrooms and showers. If not Tent loops are 1500 and 2000. You have volts and water but no sewer hook up. 1500 is smaller and closer to the pool. 2000 is larger and has less action going on. Both are a bit away from the boat and busses. If you want to spend for the full hook ups, you can go anywhere.

We are very happy in the 1800 loop. We have been in 1811 and 1807 both twice. We love each one for different reasons. 1811 is directly in front of the entrance for the canal and Dog Walking. Our previous 2 dogs (The Stinky Sisters ) loved it, The Savage Sisters not so much. 1807 has more room and easier access to areas the Savages are happier with, when I have to walk them like at night

We have only stayed in the 2000 loop. But sites there appear to be a bit larger than the 1500 loop. It also seems kinda secluded being way over on the west side away from the action but is convenient to the wilderness pool (quiet pool). It can be quiet over there so kinda depends on what you are looking for. The 2000 loop is larger but has 2 comfort stations but everybody in the loop uses them so they can become crowded at times.

We are due back at The Fort in April and have again requested the 1100 loop. We narrowed down sites from the https://wildernessprincess.net/loop-site-details/ site and hopefully we will get the sites we requested. Our last trip we stayed in the 2100 loop and that site (2143) was good but it was FH. Before that was the 1100 loop where we had a site with obstructions to hinder parking like garbage receptacles across the street as well as fellow campers parking their tow vehicles close to the road.

Thank you! The tent sites sound perfect for us. 😊

This! Last time we were there it was in the 400 loop (409). There was a bunch of junk too close to the road that made it really difficult to get backed into the site. This is a dash cam screen capture of the hot mess I rolled up to when we pulled up. Our site is just on the left coming into view:

Although decorating is fun to see I thought Disney had posted some recent rules. We (using that word generically and not referring to me because we don't decorate our lot) don't always think the whole thing through regarding placement of things and how they affect others..

The decorations made it difficult but it was really the golf cart parked on the grass next to the tree front right, and even worse, the pickup straight across from our site.
