I was wondering what is your favorite resort and why? I love knowing what others think about the Disney resorts. I'll start.

My favorite resort is the CR. I love feeling like you are in the middle of the world and I love the energy that it creates. Let's not forget those wonderful restaurants and the view!!!;)

Of the four that we've stayed at, Coronado Springs is our favorite because of the landscaping & the Dig Site pool. However, of those we haven't stayed at, Yacht Club is first followed closely by Animal Kingdom Lodge.

My favorite resort is the Contemporary. I love the location, being able to walk to MK, the view, the restaurants, atmosphere, pools, arcade, shops and the size of the rooms.

My favorite deluxe resort is the Grand Floridian and my favorite DVC resort is Old Key West.

I love the ambiance at the Grand. Our room in Sago Cay was recently remodeled and we were upgraded to a MK/lagoonview. I loved being on the monorail line and we had several great meals at 1900 Park Fare. It was neat seeing the housekeeping CMs with their parasols in the mornings and everyone seemed so friendly.

OKW is my favorite DVC resort (not including my home resort of Hilton Head) because of the laid back feeling of the resort and I like eating at the sit down restaurant - Olivia's - the food isn't the greatest but it's fun to eat there and look at all the pics on the wall of other members. Also, the main pool area is cool and I know I'm a nut but I love the buses that run frequently through the resort reminding me I'm at Disney (but not at Disney, if you know what I mean). And finally I love the jacuzzi tub in the one bedroom and larger villas not to mention the space to spread out. OKW is the one resort I think of first when I think of a Disneyworld stay. I just love it there!!

WL, because it is small, out of the way and under one roof. After a hot long day at the park it is great to return to something real and normal

Although we have really enjoyed our stays at all the Disney resorts we have been to - AKL just stands head and shoulders above the rest!! It was the complete package of very friendly cm's, incredible theming and ambiance, wonderful restaurants, beautiful pool area, excellent transportation, and of course the animals!!!! I know AKL is one resort we will definetly be going back to again! :)

Goodness, it's such a tough call.

My very favorite resort is the Grand Floridian. I felt so pampered when I stayed there, and I love the theme of the resort. The CMs were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very large with pretty decor, and the upgraded toiletries, minibar with candy :teeth: , and bathrobes were great perks. Plus, monorail convenience is wonderful.

My 2nd favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge, even though it's such a different sort of place than the GF. The AKL feels so relaxing and separated from the hustle and bustle of WDW. Boma is delicious, especially for breakfast! Even though I'm not an "animal person," there is something so incredible about seeing zebra and giraffe outside your balcony! Plus, the smells drifting up into the lobby from the restaurants are mesmerizing.

After that, there are several resorts in a 3-way tie. The BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club, and Poly all have wonderful advantages and atmospheres of their own, and I have thoroughly enjoyed each stay at these resorts. :)

I like the Shades of Green and the Allstar Music Resort. DH and I can't stay at SoG any longer since he's not military, so the Allstars is it for us. I like the fact that they are cheap, very nice for the price, and have a wonderful selection of food for just having a food court! The busses aren't bad either.:D

I'll do my favorite in each category:

Value- ASMo- totally Disney. Beautiful landscaping. Fun, upbeat, great food court.

Mod- CSR- I couldn't believe it was a mod!

Deluxe- AKL-have only stayed at this deluxe, but it will be VERY hard to beat. I have stayed at some really nice places (not Disney), but AKL is just sooo unique. It is luxurious, but just has that something extra...
