for your hands to be when driving? I always do the "10" and "2" position, but DH loves to use just one hand with his other are draped over on the middle thing in the seat. Does anyone else favor another position?

right hand on wheel left arm out window normally

or holding my smoke

I have a really good answer to this question, but I think I'm going to let this one go

I usually just use my left hand on the wheel (I am a smoker) and normally at the 6 o'clock position. When turning I usually start at the 12 o'clock position. I think thats right. I will have to pay close attention when I drive to work tomorrow.

Oh....and I also use both feet too....left to brake and right for gas...that's the way my dad drives and taught me

Did you know that they're not teaching 10 and 2 anymore? My little BIL was in driver's ed a few years ago and he told me they don't teach it anymore because of airbags. Apparently, the airbag deploying causes your hands to fly up and hit you in the face or something. Now they teach 5 and 7 or something like that...

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm just all over the place!

10 and 2. Seems like that's where I feel I have the most control.

5 and 7? Gosh, that would be WEIRD for me!!!

:scared1:

I am calling 25 post TOPS till this thread disappears!
But for the records. Im a rightie only!

I sit a little further back in the seat than some and leave one hand on the stick.

It's a Jeep thing.

:dance3:

10 and 2 b/c in Driver's Ed, if your hands were anywhere else, the teacher would come up and whap you across the knuckles w/a ruler (and this was in public school). That sort of grilled the old 10 and 2 into me!!!!!

Is 10 and 2 still the standard? I thought it was changed recently due to airbags???
