I love reading everyone's story of memories with CMs and characters. I was hoping that I would maybe get to hear more of them if I just asked, so let's see what happens.

I posted my favorite memory with a CM on another thread, but here it goes again....My family and I were in line for Space Mountain when a CM said "Hey, I haven't seen you in a while" My Mother: "Well we just got in" CM: "Have you been up to the castle?" Mother: "No, but we plan on going there later" CM: Well, say hello to Cindy, did you hear she has a new boyfriend" Mother: "Who?" CM: "Some guy named Prince Charming....see ya later!" All the while my father and I had no idea what was going on and how my mother knew the CM. Turns out she didn't and she was just going along with him. Then at the end of the ride, we meet him again and he shows us the backway to the line and let's us ride again! Such a sweet man!

My favorite memory with a character was when I was little and loved (still love) Dreamfinder and Figment. I had gotten my picture taken with Dreamfinder and Figment, with no one else really around. Soon it started to rain so my family, Dreamfinder and Figment, and I went into the Kodak shop until it stopped, which wasn't long. I can't remember how long we stood there and talked but the Dreamfinder was very kind and had no problem spending time with us. I can't remember a thing he said because I was to busy "talking" with Figment! I had Dreamfinder and Figment all to myself for once! I was a very happy girl that day! :cloud9:

So what is your favorite memory with a character or CM?

My family of four had an early PS at Crystal Palace. There was only one other family on Main Street with us when we were let in to the MK. As we slowly sauntered up towards the castle, Minnie, Chip, & Dale came out. C & D flirted with our girls-it was great fun. Minnie flirted with me. ;) The picture below was a result of that encounter. It's our fave WDW pic.

WE ate at Cinderella's castle, Logan was 5. He is autistic and at the time of our trip was totally fixed on snow white. WE had watched the minute 100 times and rode the ride about 50. When she came to our table he was physically shaking he was soooo excited. She was amazed he was shaking and that excited. She arranged to meet us at the parade that day where her float stopped and she got him took him around to each dwarf and played ring around the rosie with him. We have it on Camcorder and it still brings tears to my eyes.

Ours was with Sleeping Beauty. We had breakfast at the Castle where we met Sleeping Beauty. My son totally loves Sleeping Beauty & had told me when he meets her he is going to kiss her like a Prince, which means kissing her hand.
Sleeping Beauty was surprised to say the least. I have a great picture of her with a shocked look on her face.
Anyway, fast forward to 2 weeks later....we were eating at 1900 Park Faire & who is there but our lovely Sleeping Beauty. She quickly remembered my son, even his name & she took quite a bit of time talking to him & asking him what he has been doing & what has been his favorite thing so far.
It doesn't seem like much but having Sleeping Beauty take the time & really talk & listen to my son & remembering his name from 2 weeks before, really left an impression on my son. He could not believe Sleeping Beauty remembered his name & spent so much time talking to him!

We have ran into a lot of great CMs but our favorite memory is with Cast Member Bob! He drives the monorails & is a great friendly guy.
We were lucky enough to get in his monorail & sat up in the front. Right away we knew he was a friendly person. He talked to us & asked us where we were from. This is on the trip heading to Epcot so we had quite a bit of time to talk. He told us a little about himself & really had my son laughing & smiling the whole way to Epcot.
Bob was just a great guy. My son to this day talks about "his friend" Bob that drives the Monorails!
We ended up seeing Bob a few more times during our trip & each time he took the time to say hi to his buddy (my son).
If you are lucky enough to get to ride in the front of a monorail when Bob is driving, you are in for a treat. He is just such a nice guy....what a Cast Member at Disney should be :)

Once, I was at e-ride night standing in front of the castle. With the pretty Disney music playing, I starting waltzing around the courtyard with an imaginary partner. All of a sudden, Goofy appeared in front of me out of nowhere, took my hands, and we danced together- twirling and spinning all over the courtyard!

Mickey and Minnie have always been DS's favorites. When walking by Minnie's house we saw her on the front porch with a few people in line for pictures and autographs. We got in line, but when we were first the CM with Minnie said it was time for Minnie to leave. Before we even had a chance to be disappointed, Minnie took then-5-year-old DS's hand and led him through the house and out the backyard gate to the meet-and-greet area. DS looked so pleased. We got to be first for pictures with Minnie, and DS loved being teased about how Mickey would be jealous since DS was holding hands with his girlfriend.

What a memory, and what a great picture of DS walking hand-in-hand with Minnie. One of our favorites!

I have 2 good memories of characters. The first was when I was little. My mom and I used to stay at CR a lot. I loved the character breakfasts. One time the characters from Robin Hood talked to us for a long time. One of them made my mom get up and sit somewhere else so he could sit with me. He was just acting goofy and I still remember that time. The second time happened about 2 years ago. We went to the doll and teddy bear convention and all the characters were out for lunch. Minnie was dancing with my husband and I got a picture of them. Well, that meant I had to have a picture with Mickey and dance a little too. They were a lot of fun.

As for CMs, I left my wallet at Chefs de France a couple of years ago. A CM picked it up for me and gave it to me when we went back to get it with everything in it. I really appreciated that CM!

The one that comes to mind was at Crystal Palace on our first trip/first day with DS then 4. Pooh stopped at our table when the parade music started, so Pooh and DS led the parade hand-in-hand around the restaurant.

2 different trips 2 times Disney Magic

DD with Belle at the Castle 8 years ago. Belle had always been her favorite, maybe because she sang before she could speak and at that time spend more time WITH a book than without....

Belle sat down with her and when she told her how much she liked her songs Belle started singing with her - Magic. She spend more than 10 minutes all in all with DD and later during the parade she winked at said hallo again...

Last year we had invited our 9yo nephew along for his birthday. He is very much into Pooh and our invitation to him was a card from Pooh inviting him to come a visit on his birthday. When we ate dinner at CSR the night before his B-day he told the server about Pooh and the invitation (We were going to CP the next day) She went away and came back with a cake and singing happy birthday: Then she gave him a hug and told him that Pooh had asked her to tell him, how much he looked forward to seeing him the next day.

The picture my Dh took of the whole thing is on DN Desk, and today more than a year later he still talks about how Pooh knew he was comming and had told to give him a cake ! That server together with meeting Pooh was what made a truely magical trip for DN.

Needless to say we wrote a very positive letter to WDW guest service about the whole thing - I hope she got the recognition she so truely deserved.

Hi!

I fondly remember being dragged up on the stage at the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, and putting on a fairy/angel costume to play Davey Crockett's "ghost." What a hoot!

6 days until our 33rd WDW visit!

Two vivid memories come to mind. Both of them precious to me.

The first involves my youngest DD who is now 22 years old. When she was about 3, we were at the MK sitting on the curb watching a parade. Cinderella's coach stopped right in front of us and Cinderella and Prince Charming got out to greet the children sitting there. They came right up to DD to give her a kiss. DD had tears streaming down her face and when she looked at Cinderella she stammered out the words "Cinderella you are sooo beautiful". I could see a little tear in Cinderella's eye. Needless to say, the rest of us were blubbering idiots. :)

Flash forward a number of years to another family trip. DD is now about 19 and we go to Cinderella's Table for breakfast. Cinderella stops by our table and we remind her of the above story. DD gets up, walks over to Cinderella, again with tears in her eyes, she tells Cinderella that ever since that day many years ago, Cinderella has been a very special person in her heart. Cinderella hugged DD and looked at me with tears streaming down her face too !!! A memory I shall never, never forget.

The second memory involves me and why my user name has Figment in it. It was the same trip as the above magical moment and we were in Epcot. I was exhausted and laid down on a bench near the Journey to Imagination pavillion. DH took the kids to play near the fountains. I was out like a light when I felt something tapping on my nose. I woke up to see this hideous purple face in front of my blurry eyes. Still being half asleep and thinking I'm being attacked by an alien, I grabbed it and was beginning to choke it. From a little ways away, I hear my aforementioned DD scream..."Mom don't kill him, it's Figment !!!". Well now I'm awake and feeling pretty stupid, but Figment took it all in stride. He showered me with kisses and Dreamfinder apologized for Figment's mischevious behaviour in waking me up. So since that time, Fig and I have been best friends.

Sorry....have one more.

In 1997 we had yet another family trip to WDW. Youngest DD is about 14, No. 2 DD is 17 and No. 1 DD is 22.

We're having a wonderful meal at Whispering Canyon, lots of giggles from the waitstaff. We had ordered the all you can eat skillet and that's just what No. 2 DD did (all she could eat). At the end of the meal, No. 2 DD exclaims, "I am so stuffed, they'll need to carry me out of here." Wrong words to say at WCC.

About 5 minutes later, our waiter who overhead DD's exclamation, starts yelling from across the room. "Look out, coming through. Lady needs help, coming through !!!" He and a cook are carrying a stretcher. DD sees them coming and grabs hold of the table with a look of horror on her face. The stretcher dudes wrestle her onto the stretcher, carry her through the WHOLE restaurant all the while yelling things like "Outta the way people, stuffed lady coming through". The boys take DD out the entrance, to the Lobby and very un-ceremoniously dump her saying "There ya go lady !!"

Poor DD......we we're ROLLING on the floor laughing. I swear, I had cramps from laughing so hard. She's still traumatized over it.

I have a couple.

On one trip to Disney my younger son was givena figment hat from his older brother to use. At that time figment was not around and you could not get that style of hat any more. On the boat from MK to FW a kid they were talking to hit it off his head and it went into the water. We told a CM . The CM told the captain and it was radioed throught the boats. By the time we got to FW we were told to wait for the next boat. On the next boat the captain steps off and is wearing the wet hat. :confused3 We still tell friends about it. And the hat is still in our collection.

I once went with a friend and her daughters. Her youngest was about 8.. We went to Fantasmic on Thursday night. She loved Mickey and said she couldn't wait to see him on Friday and tell him how great he was in the show. The next day was our last park day and the day we saved to talk to Mickey. We had 6 in our party so we had Mickey pretty much to ourselves in his visiting room. The look on her face was priceless and of course as usual she was speechless and couldn't talk to him. My friend and I had to do all the talking for her. :rotfl2:

Dona :wave2:

After a day of searching for sleeping beauty we finally found out she was appearing in the front of the park until 4 PM(It was about 3:30- and we were in toontown) we hopped on the train. We got there at about 3:55. No line. As we get there they are about to leave. I beg with the CM helping the characters and explain this is our last day, favorite princess blah blah blah(not expecting much) Well low and behold she says go inside the store and wait by the side door. In walks Sleeping Beauty and Prince Philip! My DD almost fainted. Philip kissed her hand and wrote the sweetest thing in her book and Sleeping Beauty could not have been nicer to her. I was so grateful as I know this was their own time and they were taking time to make my dd's trip so special. She still talks about her special meeting three years later. I wrote to Disney praising the kindness of these characters and the CM.

I stepped on Jasmine's foot. DD4 still reminds me of it. "Remember when you stepped on Jasmine's foot?" It's not my favorite memory, but it was pretty embarassing.

Our first trip was just two years ago. I was as excited as our DD's (13 & 5 at the time). My most favorite memory so far, I hope for many more, was when my youngest saw Aurora for the first time. We were standing in line for an autograph from another character when DH called my name from a distance and pointed in a different direction. Well, DD saw what he was talking about before I did and took off running. We couldn't catch up, she had seen Aurora! She was so excited. We have a picture of her looking up at Aurora as she signed her autograph book and another of them together with DD smiling the biggest smile I have ever seen and tears in her eyes. I cried like a baby but it was such a great feeling.

Of course the oldest DD wasn't super impressed with the princesses but found Aladdin as soon as he came out and she was smiling a big smile too!

Disney is just such a great place!

I have a few character favorites:
When DD was 2 1/2 eating in the castle- she was so excited. When Cinderella came to our table, DD ran so hard it knocked Cindy to her knees. Cindy laughed and sat on the floor with DD for the longest- hugging her and holding her in her lap and rubbing noses. It was priceless!
Next trip- DD was 4 1/2 and totally adores Jasmine. We had already seen Jasmine in the parks a few times, so when we saw her again- we decided not to wait in the long line. We were sitting by the magic carpets waiting on others in our party to get a coke. Jasmine's meet and greet is over and she skips by. DD stands and starts shouting 'Hey Jasmine' and waving like a princess. Jasmine skips over and kisses DD on the cheek and says something about her being a princess- this was her favorite moment ever!
Same trip, DS is 2 1/2 and he meets his hero- Buzz Lightyear the first morning- the first character we meet. It is our turn in line and DS just walks up to him waving saying 'Hey Buzz, Hey Buzz' over and over. It was too cute! THis past year, DS was 3 1/2 and finally got up the courage to say 'to infinity and beyond' with Buzz and 'yeehaw cowboy' with Woody. He was not shy around any other characters- but was in awe of those two- his favorites!
There are so many. Guess that's why I love WDW- it is full of magic- and it is even better for me to see the magic through your children't eyes! princess:

Mine is at MGM.
I was sitting on a bench relaxing with the Boy sleeping in his stroller.
Mulan, Esmerelda, Meg, Mary Poppins and Jasmine had just "appeared" and were doing the photo ops thing by the hat.
Lines quickly formed in front of all the Characters except for Mulan.
When Jasmine looked over with a puzzled expression at how Mulan was all alone, Mulan shrugged, laughed and said "But I saved a whole COUNTRY!"

Lines quickly formed after that though.
:sunny:

Then there was the joke telling bus driver.
He was fun. Some really bad jokes though. LOL

And the CMs at the Haunted Mansion who play the monotone emotionless unhappy characters are always #1 in my book too.

Here's my two:

I went on my high school senior trip in 1984 and when I had my picture taken with two of the three little pigs. (I have no idea why the three pigs were there!) Anyway, right as my friend took the picture, one of the pigs pinched my rear end! The picture is priceless - I jumped and look shocked.

The second one didn't happen to my family but I was so touched by it. We were watching the Share a Dream Come True parade and the parade was passing right in front of us. Right next to us was a family with a special needs child - a young teen actually. One of the CM's picked him out of the crowd and brought him out to dance in the parade. It brought tears to my eyes. He looked so happy and his family was thrilled. Since we were right near Guest Services I went over and told a CM there it was the most wonderful thing had ever seen in the park and the CM's should be commended.

We had a magical moment at the Rose and Crown in February, 2002. DH and I were there celebrating our 2nd anniversary and we had a 8:00 PS at the Rose and Crown, of course we were hoping for an outside table for Illuminations. We noted on our PS that it was our anniversary, but didn't really expect anything to happen.

When we checked in for our PS, the first thing out of the CM's mouth was "happy anniversary", DH told the CM that we would wait for a table outside, but we of course understand that we might not get it. The CM just smiled and gave us a pager. About 20 minutes later, our pager went off and were led to the center table on the outside patio--a perfect viewing spot. We later found out that the previous party was finished with their meal, but they were planning on staying at the table for Illuminations, the CM's at the R&C actually moved the party to a different location on the patio so we could have the table. How magical.:goodvibes

The real highlight of the meal was our waitress, Carrie, she was wonderful. When she came out to take our drink orders, she brought us a bottle of champaign. The entire meal was wonderful, Carrie was so attentive to us, it was like we were her only table. When she gave us the bill, she again wished us a happy anniversary.

We filled out a comment card at guest relations the next day, I really hope Carrie's supervisor was told of how wonderful she was and how much we enjoyed her. Oh and one last thing, the next night of our vacation was Valentine's Day and we had a PS at the California Grill. As we were walking out after our meal, we hear "Stephen, Stephen" (my DH) we turned around and there's Carrie, coming up to us to say hello. She was dining there with friends, and got up from her meal to say hi to us.

That's just one reason why we keep coming back to Walt Disney World--the CM's are truely wonderful and many will go above and beyond for the guest.
