What is your Favorite MAGICAL Moment???

Do I have to pick just ONE?

On my second trip to WDW(honeymoon) in 99,I managed to sprain my ankle the very first day.DH spent the entire day(aye..the week even!)pushing me around in a wheelchair, but he never complained. At the end of the night,I was kind of tired,so I didn't realize he was pushing me to a spot on the sidewalk and kind of parking me there.I asked him what was going on and he said to just watch the castle and I"d find out. That's when Tink slid down and lit the fireworks and they started to play "Remember the Magic".I started crying and DH just leaned over and kissed me and told me he loved me.

On that same trip, while waiting for our bus to get back to the hotel, the driver decided to do some Disney trivia.I was the ONLY one who knew what Goofy's real name was!(Dippy Dawg).*LOL*
The driver heard me yell it from way in the back and he asked me how I knew that.I called back that I watch way too many cartoons and he just laughed.

Watching the fear on my husband's face as we ride the Dinosaur!(formerly countdown to extinction)ride.

Eating a frozen chocolate covered banana and people-watching anytime, anywhere.

Getting to act like a child and playing on TSI.

last november, we took our 5 yr old dd for her first trip. we had lots of magic prearranged so to this day she thinks mickey invited her and cinderella sent her a dress from the castle made by the mice for a special breakfast, but it was Mickey himself who made the magic believable for her. On our first day we went to the magic kingdom, my dh had gone back to the wl to relax and dd and I were just about to leave when we heard music coming from the castle. we ran down main street and I put her on my shoulders just in time to see the show. she was crazy to get Mickey's autograph so I started heading for the judges tent to wait in line when we saw him behind a rope in front of the castle. we ran to the rope and there were about 1000 bigger kids pushing to get their books to him. he had about 4 in his hands and I was afraid he wouldn't see my little one so I said to her let mommy hold it up so he can see it. she turned to me and said in a very grown up voice "Mommy, Mickey will sign them one at a time!" Well, Mickey heard her and took her book immediatlely, signed it, bowed in front of her and kissed the top of her head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Mother's dream come true for sure, not to mention a little girl's! We skipped the whole way down main street holding hands, smiling and laughing and she kept saying "I can't believe Mickey kissed me!"

Here's mine, kind of long.

We stayed at the Poly in 1999, and every morning while my husband and kids were getting ready, I would go for a jog around the lovely grounds. And each morning I would see this very old lady sitting on her balcony drinking tea. She must have been close to 100 years old. I would study her face as I jogged by and wondered what her life must have been like, the fact that she was at Walt Disney World was facinating to me. I made a mental note to paint her portrait when I got home, as she made such an impression on me. We would always exchange hellos, but that was about it. Then on our last night at WDW, we went to the beach at the Poly to watch the fireworks. I looked over and saw this lovely old woman sitting in a chair with her family. Of course this was my opportunity to go speak with her. It turned out she was 97 years old and had been coming to WDW every other year with her family for the past 20 years. She owned just about every Disney movie ever made, and was a huge fan. She was just so very kind, and so very interesting. My baby started crying and fussing, and she asked if she could hold him. She eventually rocked him to sleep. I took a picture of them, I was so touched, and when I returned home I painted her portrait holding my son. It actually hangs in our living room and reminds me of the “Circle of Life”.

Last year we were in Epcot, Jordan was wearing her Snow White dress. Out of the blue up came the real Snow White. She said "hello Princess!" to Jordan and my DD was speachless (that alone was a magical moment!) Then we went back for Christmas and ran into Snow White at MVMCP. Jordan mentioned seeing her in Epcot in June. Snow told Jordan of course I remember you and how good it was that she could come visit her again. Jordan had tears in her eyes because she was so happy that Snow White remembered her! (of course she didn't but she did a beautiful job making Jordan believe the magic)

Awww...how sweet!
That's what makes the magic real...little things like that.

And people WONDER why I"m addicted to WDW and its magic.:-D
