Which is your favorite at all of Disney World and what entree do you really like for dinner?

There are'nt many Italian restaurants to choose from at Disney World, I believe there's 4. We ate at Mama Melrose's twice to do the fantasmic dinner package. The first time it was good the second time we wished we had eaten elsewhere. Both times we ate at Alfredos it was very good I especially like the atmosphere and the food taste very fresh. The Italian Restaurant in Magic Kingdom (the name slips my mind, I know it's themed after Lady and the Tramp) does'nt get very good ratings. I believe there is an Italian restaurant at the Swan or Dolphin which is supposed to be very good, I believe it is called Palio. Linda

We like Mama's: it's off the beaten path, very relaxing, excellent service, very good (maybe not outstanding) food. Went there alone with DH (what a treat!) this December, and will take our 3 kids with us for a lunch when we return in June. We split the Caesar salad to start with, and were impressed by the crisp romaine, the fact that it was plenty for both of us, and that the waiter split it on two plates for us without us asking him to. Perhaps a little slow on drink refills, but everything else was great. I'm not a "gourmet," so perhaps I'm not the best judge, but we enjoyed the food a great deal.

Well, I guess it's not technically an italian restaurant, but I had some killer lasagna at Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. DH's BBQ chicken pizza was also fantastic.

We love Portobello Yacht Club at DtD. It is upscale regional Italian and very good. You can find the menu at allearsnet.com.

We prefer Mamas over Alfredos. (Don't like Tonys AT ALL!)

Ditto! MM is one of our favorite WDW restauratns overall. Love the penne alla vodka, chicken parm, and flatbreads.

Palio is also very good for an upscale Italian meal.

I MUST add Wolfgang Pucks too [even if it might not be technically Italian ;)]!! I wasn't overly impressed with Alfredo's the 2 times I went there...and I thought Portobello Yacht Club wasn't worth the price...I actually don't mind mama melrose or Tony's but I really, really like Wolfgang Puck's! Both the regular restaurant and the express- we've never gone wrong!!

I would rank them in the following order:

1. Palio (Swan)
2. L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante (Epcot)
3. Mama Melrose's (MGM)
4. Tony's (MK)

Unknown..lines too long
Wolfgang Puck's Grand Cafe (Quasi-Italian) (DTD)

My family really enjoys Alfredos. I won't go back to Mama Melrose's again, yuck. :crazy2:

Palio is my favorite. The food is excellent as is the service. The restaurant is beautiful.

We have been to Alfredo's once and will not go back. The food was not good and the tables are on top of each other.

Another vote for alfredos. Cutest waiters too

The alfredo is awesome as well as the truffle dumplings.

Don't forget tiramisu too!! Almost as good as the waiters. ;)

Seems that everyone has there favorite so here is mine if it helps. "Alfredo's", we enjoy the great food and the the atmosphere. This is the first place that pronounced our last name correctly.
