I'd go first, but I haven't found mine yet! The only places we've tried (other than Cracker Barrel and the HH Diner) are Aunt Chilada's, San Miguel's, and Guiseppe's. Do you have favorite place to eat at HHI??:happy1:

We do -- The Salty Dog. They make an awesome onion loaf and their crab legs were very, very good. We've been the last couple of trips and look forward to it next summer as well.

Truffles: we ate in Bluffton, but there is also one on the island. Good food, excellent service, good value.

We also liked Iron Wolf Chop House--pricey, but the food was good.

We have always made a point of dining at Scott's Fishmarket (at Shelter Cove)- a short walk from the resort. We also enjoy the Harbourmaster (also within walking distance- a little more expensive).

I agree about the Salty Dog and also would suggest Cafe Europa at Sea Pines. Giuseppis is our favorite place for pizza!

HH has over 300 restaurants on the island- truly something for everyone.

The Old Fort Pub, Alexanders (at Palmetto Dunes) are also nice spots.

Our all time favorite dining experience at HH is "A Private Affair" right at the resort. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience- we've enjoyed Chef Gordon's creations the last three years.

Lots ot choose from.

Enjoy!

Le Bistro Mediterranean
Frescas (spelling)
Nino's

That would be my three favorite.
Then there is.

Old Fort Pub
Old Oyster Factory
Sigler's Rotisserie & Seafood
Sticky Fingers

Stay away from Crane's Tavern. You can get a better steak at Long Horn for half the price.

We love the Hofbrauhaus and the Old Oyster Factory.

We also never miss having a burger at Fuddruckers!

Looking forward to trying the Old Oyster Factory sometime next week. We also enjoy Fuddrucker's, Guiseppe's and Hilton Head Diner.

Favorite overall is Wild Wings. For fine dining - Charleson's. Seafood - Old Oyster Factory. Pizza - Dunes but it closed.

Favorite is "A Private Affair" with Chef Gordon (can't wait for our third time this Spring). We also really enjoy Captain's Seafood -- not fancy, but both times we went there the food was great. Also, on our last trip Chef Gordon mentioned mentioned Just Pasta -- it was a very good meal. Very fresh pasta, and you choose the sauce and the pasta you want. Follow it up with an ice from Rita's down the street. Still cannot figure out why so many people think Giuseppi's is good -- none of us liked the pizza there.

Rendezvous Cafe---a very french little restaurant with good steak and fries.

Red Fish.

On the other hand, I had fried soft-shell crab with the thickest coating ever from Captain's seafood. I'll only go there for the fresh local shrimp. They are otherwise supplied by Inland Seafood, an Atlanta company.

We always eat at Scott's. Good food, walking distance from our unit & a DVC discount.
On our last trip, we tried the Garden Oak Grille, which replaced the Spartina Grille. It was a wonderful meal, the best we've had on HHI & we plan to return next year.

We had great meals at Fitzgeralds, Outback Steakhouse and the Thai restaurant - I can't remember the name tho!

I would have to vote for Hofbrauhaus also!

A great German restaurant that has been around for about 30 years. Be sure and try the Bratwurst salad for an appetizer.

:goodvibes

Here is our favoirtes

Hiliton Head Diner
Guiseppe's
Scott's Fish Market

Sticky Fingers in Charleston (is there one on HHI?)

Spartina Grill was also our favorite (after A Private Affair, of course); we tried its replacement, Garden Oak Grill, on our last trip. While we liked it, I think it may still be going through some growing pains. We'll just have to try it again to be sure. ;)

We like Hudson's for seafood and the BEST hushpuppies!

Alexander's in Palmetto Dunes is also very good for fine dining.

We recently tried Senor Frog's (?) in Coligny Plaza and had great burgers there!

Oh, and a place the locals go to -- Sea Shack -- is great for a casual meal.

There are just too many options on Hilton Head!!

We liked Guiseppes for pizza, Old Oyster Factory for a nice evening meal, and Atlanta Bread Company , for a nice lunch. Actually, I can say, I've never had a bad meal anywhere on Hilton Head. I look forward to trying many more places in the years to come!

Having only traveled there with our kids who were/are babies/toddlers, we have not tried any of the nicer restaurants.

We go to the HH Brewing Company our first night there and really enjoy it.
We loved Salty Dog the first time, went back a second time and it was just okay.
We went to the HH Diner, won't go back again-it wasn't bad, but I live in NJ, we have a diner in every town and I like to go places on vacation that are different from where we go at home.
Big Bamboo was a bad experience and I was so looking forward to that..but I still have high hopes for Wild Wings Cafe for next trip.
Oh also, we enjoy Just Pasta.
So many restaurants, so little time...

Only been to HHI once (so far), and liked Captain's Seafood the best. Not at all fancy, but very prompt service. Also enjoyed a little Greek resturaunt, I think it was near a Blockbuster's, in a little strip mall, can't remember the name. Next time we hope to get to Scott's Fish Market.
