What is your favorite healthy snack?

Just about any fruit you can think of. I also like hummus and whole wheat pitas.

Cheese, although I realize that can be considered unhealthy (fat) but I sure like it! :teeth:

Basically any fruit or veggie will do for me.....and cheese too! YUM

Sliced apples, sprinkled with cinnamon, then put in a dehydrater for a day or 2.

I also loooove honey, and can just eat it out of a jar.

I am guessing that Yuengling does not count huh? Ok ,well if not then pizza (still doesn't count?:confused3 )….oh wait ummmmmmmm seriously cucumbers cut thick with salsa on top.

Maybe the LIGHT?!?!? :lmao:

I like pretty much any fruit. I had some cantelope (SP?) the other day that was so sweet and juicy it was like eating candy!

And for a healthy salty snack, my favorite is pita chips with pineapple salsa. (MMmmmmm....now I'm hungry!)

I tried to convince my girlfriend of this....no go :sad1:

Pineapple salsa....that i will have to try( It is always peach or mango around here).

Lots of great ideas here.

When I posted initially, it was sorta a self-intervention. I find myself eating really awful stuff in the summer cause it's just too hot to cook. That day I had done a 14 hour 400 mi round-trip to Phoenix for work -- and found myself ordering fast food fish tacos at the drive-through window for breakfast @ 5:30 am. I knew then that I had hit bottom. :sad2:

Fish tacos?

Bananas with fat-free caramel are good too :thumbsup2

Fish Tacos CAN be very tasty but admittedly, they do not exactly constitute the breakfast of champions...

Do you not have'em back east? I pretty much do not eat mexican food east of Las Cruces.

Blueberries are healthy????????????? Aw, now you ruined it for me.

Yeah -- I've often thought that they are yummilicious enough that there is probably an ongoing, ginormous, scientific study (soon to be announced on your local TV news at 10) that blueberry consumption has been linked to male pattern baldness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, itchy palms, and bouts of excessive flatulence.:rotfl:

I know blueberries can cause iron deficiencies in birds. No clue if it does the same to humans :confused3

my new favorite thing this week anyways is sugar free angel food cake covered with strawberries and no fat whip cream , its delicious.

I love melon's too.

Oh the sugar free low fat jello puddings are awesome !!!!!!!

Pita bread with black bean salsa and hummus is great too.
I am also adding Tostitos Baked Scoops ( chips ) to eat the above with too.

The first time I had a fish taco was at the Reagan Airport in DC. They weren't horrible. Then I had some fish tacos here at a local restaurant that weren't fried and they were great. I'm guessing the fish was broiled.

Best area for yummy fish tacos is Baja California. Best place in the US is probably San Diego (at the beach). The tortillas should be soft, warm, and very fresh, there should be lots of shredded cabbage, a fair little bit of cilantro, a little mayo thinned down with lemon-juice to liquid consistency, fresh fresh light white fish, and a slice of lime. Umm, Umm, Umm! :goodvibes . I'm guessing the fish could either be grilled or fried. (sad to say -- I've only ever had fried; I like that nice crunchy texture)
