Gatordad stated on another thread that Disney had plenty of free performances that are very well worth the price(...free:cool2: ).

Whats your favorite free show at the parks AND/OR resorts?

My family's favorite has always been Beauty and the Beast at MGM/HS. We also REALLY like the Lion King at AK.

Rog, I agree, we love Beauty and the Beast. Also, we really love Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Parade at MK

Well, it is tough to pick just one. But I think Finding Nemo the Musical has to be it. I have lost track of how many times I have seen the show. I think my DD has seen it more than 60 times. We have met several cast memebers over time. My DD and my step DD to be, have become known by some CM's as the 'Nemo Screamers', because of their enthusiasm during the show.

right up there.:thumbsup2

Of course I've never seen Pete try to park his rig....so maybe I ought to
wait:lmao:

Good question!! Without a doubt, the old Hunchback show at MGM. 2nd favorite is Off-Kilter at Epcot (Whiskey in the Jar)! 3rd The Christmas Pagent at Epcot.

for me,,,hands down Festival of the Lion King...for DGD NEMO!!!! We have a ritual because of it (since they moved so far away to NJ),....i go to the WDW web site....go to the AK site then after I get her on the phone I click on the Nemo musical and we sing Big Blue World!!! Its our special time together to reach across the miles!!!!She loved that show so much when we were last there she cried until she was sick becasue she wanted to see Nemo again and again...My daughter is dying to meet DUDE!!!! LOL Crush....loved his song Dude to the point she walked around singing it for weeks afterwards!

We used to love Nova Era in Italy, but they've been gone for a few years now. :(

Now my favorite is Off Kilter!!

Oh - and this isn't Disney, but over at Universal, the Blues Brothers show is great too!! :goodvibes

Wow, good one. I think that Nemo and Lion King are both amazing! But I like the simple stuff too like the fife and drums outside independence hall, and the singers inside, the acoustics make it sound so cool!

Didn't they shut down the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM, or did they decide to keep it on? I know that they were supposed to shut it down, not sure if it ever happened. That was our favorite for a long time.

Now I would have to say it would probably be Finding Nemo at AK, really enjoyed that show!

I guess my favorite also was the old Hunchback show at the Studios.

I also enjoy Festival of the Lion King and the Nemo Show.

We saw this show in April. It was a great show. My kids love the indiana jones show. Action and comedy.

Hunchback was a great little production....we miss that one. Beauty is still around, Colson....Ive heard talk about it being at its end, but that just doesnt make sense because it has a HUGE crowd for every showtime. I'll hate to see it go. We skipped NEMO, for SOME reason, I cant remember why, but I regret it now.
Are there any RESORT shows we should know about? Anything that you dont need a dinner reservation to see?

Both Finding Nemo (those are some talented folks) and the Fest of Lion King are awesome shows! We also like all of the street performers at AK. :thumbsup2

Hunchback, Off Kilter, Tarzan Rocks, Candlelight Processional in that order.

We almost skipped it too...because the line was HUGE! However, once it starts moving...you get seated fairly quickly. I'm so glad we didn't skip it. We've been back twice since then and the kids LOVE the show too!

if you give me a 12 pack, I tend to break into song.....

Ok, so it is still around. I know that last year there were even announcements that they would be shutting down Beauty and the Beast, but I guess it never happened. I agree, it's always packed, I'm not sure why they would shut it down (except to either upgrade it or put a new show in, that show has been there a long time).

One of our favorite free live performances is watching the piano player either at the Magic Kingdom, or at the bar at the Riverside. They both play Honkey Tonk pianos, and both are very entertaining. Not a full on show per se, but still just as good.

The guy that plays at the Magic Kingdom has been playing there FOREVER, I can remember being a kid watchin him. In fact, the one that plays at Disneyland just retired 2 years ago, and he had been playing there since 1969!! It's going to be crazy if one day I can watch Reilly sit there and watch him play at the Magic Kingdom, knowing that one day I was his exact same age...lol
