I told DD she could pick the hotel for our next trip as long as it was a hotel she has never stayed in. She picked Boardwalk. I really don't know much about it. I am trying to decide if I should try to steer her into Beach Club or Yacht. I have never stayed at any of these. School me please.

Boardwalk. Beautiful, elegant hotel. Great cast members. Lots of activity on the boardwalk at night. LOVE the clown slide. Really enjoy the quiet pool and the hot tub there, because it always seems to be without other people, or nearly so. Gorgeous rooms.

We have stayed at the BW and YC. I have found the CMs at the YC to be much more friendly and proactive in trying to make a guest feel welcome. Its the little things, but it really does make it a bit more "magical" feeling. IMO.

We stayed at Yacht Club last September. LOVED IT!!!!! We have never stayed at the other EPCOT resorts though. We asked for a room close to transportation and had the best room IMO. The pool is AWESOME! My kids and SIL didn't like the looks of the Boardwalk pool on-line, they called it the 'scary clown pool' all week. Every CM we talked to at YC were absolutely terrific!!! The walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios totally doable, the ferry to HS was great as well. Not a single thing to complain about at YC, I just hope we can stay there again!!! : )

You told her she could pick the resort. She picked Bisrdwalk. It's a beautiful hotel. Keep your end if the deal, mom!

We've stayed at all of the Epcot resorts. The BW is nice but the YC/BC always wins with the kids because of Storm a long bay.

Best pool on Disney property hands down.

So far I have stayed two times at the Boardwalk Inn and each time has been great and I enjoy their theme. Plus this coming Wednesday I am checking in there for third stay.

However at the end of the month I am then staying at the Beach Club for the first time and I am looking forward to see how it compares with the Boardwalk Inn.

She has not seen any of these hotels. I was listing her choices and she instantly popped on Boardwalk. When I showed her pictures of the resort she immediately said she would not swim in the clown pool "it looks creepy".

I absolutely will let her choose. I just want to know if she would like the Beach or Yacht better. We are traveling in July.

Out of the 3, we have only stayed at the BC, but the BWI is on our list to try :). We liked the BC and we thought SAB was fun, but being in the minority, it's not our favorite Disney pool. But with that said, if your DD thinks the BWI clown pool is freaky and she won't swim because of that, show her pictures of the YC/BC and see what she thinks of SAB ;). Good luck with your decision, but you really can't go wrong with any of them, IMO, because they are all beautiful resorts :wizard:.

I have stayed at all of them....well, not actually 'stayed at' YC, but dh did and we checked out his room and such. I prefer BW, but that's my home resort, so I'm a bit predjudiced. I like YC/BC...prefer BC to YC...a bit airier and light. I am one of the few people that isn't crazy about SAB. You have to leave the pool area, cross the public sidewalk and then enter the shipwreck pool slide. The pool area is huge...really hard to keep track of your kids, especially if they are using that pool slide.
I love BW. Yes, it has that 'creepy', 'scary' clown slide. BUT, my dd has loved that slide for almost 8 years now...since she was 10. She loves yelling 'clown barf' as she exits the clown mouth at the end of the slide.

I like the easy access to both DHS and Epcot from BW. It's a bit closer to Epcot from BC, but further from DHS.

They are all pretty similar except for a few things. Transportation is about equal.

Thanks everyone for the input! I think she will be happy at Boardwalk. I am looking forward it. We are sticking to it.

I read that if you miss the boat to Epcot you can catch it over at the Swan and Dolphin. Is the Swan and Dolphin boat dock easy to get to?

Well, the last stop before Epcot is the BW. From the Studios, the boat stops at S&D, YC/BC, then BW/BWV, then Epcot. The boat then reverses that to go to back to the Studios. One thing I like about BW, is that if the weather is bad, you can stand inside the shop and watch for the boats out the windows, instead of just standing out in the weather waiting. So if you missed the boat to Epcot, you would walk along the BW toward S&D, over a bridge, then to the dock between them. It would probably be just as short to walk to Epcot from the BW!

There is a quiet pool at BW, if your DD decides she doesn't want to swim in the clown pool.

I stayed at YC in December, BCV in January, BC in March, BWV in May, I'll be back at BCV next month, and back at BWV in December. So I've made the rounds, and there's really not a bad one in the bunch (except those pesky little balconies at BC). Have a great trip!
