What is Your Favorit Disney Dessert?

I have 2 absolute favorite desserts at WDW.

There is no particular order, as they are so very different.

The S'Mores at 50's Prime Time Cafe are absolutely wonderful!

The Banana Caramel Creme Brulee at Kona Cafe is out of this world!

We must have a cookie ice cream sandwich from Main Street in Magic Kingdom. You can choose the ice cream and each cookie flavors. I know it's simple, but I guess that's the point.

And I second the idea of a sundae at Ghiradelli!!

Between my DH and myself we have several:

1. The brownies from Gasparilla's Grill at the Grand Floridian. Whoa, these are dense and fudgy and awesome!

2. Dole whip - simple but delicious.

3. Pineapple with caramel sauce from 'Ohana (this one is EASY to duplicate at home - and believe me, we do!)

4. Kiluea Torte at Kona Cafe (mine)

5. Turtle brownie at Kona Cafe (DH's)

6. And I cannot leave WDW without eating a Mickey Bar!!!! I think I might have two in August.........

Others I'd love to try:

The banana napolean, the ice cream cookie sandwiches on Main Street and BEAVER TAILS. I keep meaning to try them but I always forget! Not this trip!!!!!

They don't make them anymore, but years ago the "Mile High Brownie" at the CR snack-bar was THE BEST! I even brought some home and froze them, and they were so rich, they wouldn't freeze all the way! Now, I'm left with a toss up between the Kileau Torte at Kona, and the Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse at the GF Cafe. (And if in Epcot after 3, a Beaver Tail is a must!)

Dessert one of my favorite things:

Flying Fish - Banana Napoleon

Jiko - Pistachio Creme Brulee

Beaches and Cream - Milky Way Sundae

Grand Floridian Cafe - Key Lime Pie

Boma - Coconut Tiramisu

Must have a Toll House Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from the Main Street Bakery every trip!!!!!!!!!

I am sure there are others. I had a wonderful dessert from Citricos the last trip but can't remember the name of it. Of course one of the main ingredients was chocolate.

Also a number of special drinks. One of them being the Shadow from the Bellevue Lounge at the Boardwalk. Must no forget the Mango Margarita from the San Angel Inn with an extra bit of Tequila.

On our trip in Jan we went to France every day and ate the PEACH TART THERE IT IS SOOOOO GOOD... AND FRESH AND BIG..must try the chocolate lava as I have had the one on the cruise and if this is the same LOOK OUT!! It is soooo good at Palo's..I think we have eaten every dessert at Disney and then I found this thread and will be going to try the ones we haven't yet..thanks a lot ..Marianne  :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

KoKo Puffs at Kona Cafe, Kileau Torte at Kona Cafe,Hot fudge sundae at Ghirardelli's,Chocolate Moose at Le Cellier, and almost anything from the bakery in France........Love this thread

Oreo bon bons form Cape May buffet, S'mores from PrimeTime, cookie sandwich from the Main Street Bakery. Also, Mickey rice krispy treats. I always bring a few home

So glad I started this thread, it is so fun reading all the different responses. I've certainly gotten some great ideas on desserts to try next time. We were just in WDW in March but I hadn't heard of some of these desserts.... and they all sound delicious!! What are Beaver Tails? At all the desserts mentioned from Kona's sound AWESOME. We hadn't eaten at Kona's so we wouldn't know. The Banana Caramel thingamabob from whatchamacallit sounds Fab.

Another vote for the dessert bar at Boma along with a pot of their wonderful pressed Java.

Our last trip I had a Florida Sunshine at Beaches & Cream and it was heavenly.

Key Lime Pie at the Grand Floridian Cafe. If they would let me I would lick the plate. Yummy!!! LOL!!!

What are Beaver tails and Zebra Domes ?!
I like the Hot fudge Sundae at Ghiradelli's, and has anyone tried the English Desserts at Epcot ? Nothing like the real thing, but still nice.
Also like the napoleons at Boardwalk bakery.
Wonder where your favourite meal would be at ? I might start a thread on that if no one else has -
And can you explain to a poor old English gal - what are s'mores ?:D

Grapefruit Ckae at HBD

Caramel Sundae ay Ghiradelli

Strawberry Swirl from the Enchanted Grove in MK

S'mores are a taditional campfire dessert. It is a graham cracker broken in half with a chocolate bar broken in half on top of it and then one or two toasred marshmallows in between.
The way they make at 50s PrimeTime is a big plate of graham crackers topped with chocolate and then toasted marshmallows on top. I think they probably stick the whole thing under a broiler of some sort for a few minutes because the chocolate is usually melted (but not runny) too!

THanks for that LAWalz..........but I wish you hadn't told me.........I need to try one now :( :D

It is great, soojay! I was very disappointed this trip that we missed it due to a rainstorm.

don't know if they still have it . . . a few years ago I had a piece of rum cake from the pastry shop in France. Once I ordered it, they actually poured more rum (or rum flavoring) over it before they gave it to me! That and a good cup of coffee is a great way to watch Illuminations!

All three of our children (DS-19, DD's 13-twins) love the Kiddie Kone at the Kona Cafe. Don't let the name fool you, it's huge. I really liked the Grapefruit Cake at the Brown Derby.

Disney has soo many good desserts!!!! its hard to choose. but out of all of them i guess i would choose..........

The dessert we had once at Garden Grill. It was an apple crisp w/ cinnamon ice cream. it was spectacular!!!!!!! not sure if they still serve it. i hope sooo :D

Another is at the Boardwalk Bakery. the cheesecake brownie. very delicoius and filling. Also the napolean there is awesome.

we are looking forward to trying the desserts at Kona's cafe!!! they all sound good and worth trying:Pinkbounc
