I have only stayed at the All Star Sports when I was on my senior trip almost 10 years ago, so I really have no referrence point for DIsney resorts. WHat is your favorite and why?
We've stayed at many from Pop to AllStar to Old Key west and Caribbean beach. For us it was the Wilderness Lodge. It truly feels like home. It has a ton of activities but is quiet and serene at the same time.
We liked it so much after are 1st few stays we became DVC owners
Own, like a time share? I'm really unfamiliar with Disney property but my parents own a time share through RCI, so I am familiar with how that works. Does DIsney offer the same thing where you have a week that is yours every year?
My favorite is POP. I don't spend a lot of time at the resort, I just use the room to sleep, so unless I am traveling with a larger group that needs the room I go with POP and save the money for other things. When I do stay somewhere other than a moderate I usually end up at the Swan/Dolphin.

DVC is a time share but it is very different than what most people are used to. You don't get a week, you buy points which are used to reserve your resort whenever you want (pending availability) as opposed to during your pre-designated week. You don't have a fixed point amount and can buy more points to stay more days or at peak times. You can even buy points in multiple resorts or use your points from one resort at another. Of course this is a simplification and there are rules and caveats.
Check out the DVC board here and they will have the info.

You can think of it like a time-share but it's so much more. There is a whole other section on the forums dedicated to DVC. You may want to start there or direct from Disney

Cool, I had no idea. I am familiar with points to some degree. My parents do points with RCI along with an extra week tiem share. I will definitely check that other board out.
We have stayed ASMu, POP. BLT, POLY, CSR Our favorite is a Moderate Coronado Springs. We love it. Good location, great transportation, but if money is tight then POP it is. I think they have best food court out of all the resorts we have stayed at. location is good there as well.
Our favorite is WL. We have gone 3 times and it is the only place we have stayed. It has a great theme and is rather quiet after a long day at the resorts.
I've stayed at Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Carribean Beach, Boardwalk Villas, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Port Orleans, Swan, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West. Old Key West is our favourite by far. Biggest rooms of all the resorts and a nice relaxed atmosphere
We've stayed at Caribbean Beach, Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Grand Floridian and our favorite is the Poly . We love the tropical surroundings and the beautiful grounds as well as relaxing in the hammocks on the beach . We have had great stays and have loved all of the resorts we've stayed at, but if we had to choose one favorite, it would be the Poly .
It's a toss up between two actually - YC has been my favorite, but BWI keeps calling to me as well.
The reason for both is mostly location, location , location - I just love the Epcot area and the convenience of walking/boating to two of the parks as well as the many dining options available in this area. I also love the BW atmosphere in the evening.
POP is fun! The pools are big(and Petals is a nice pool bar), the food court is good, Everything POP has lots of gifts, hourglass lake is beautiful, the busses are efficient and the beds have always been comfortable. What more can you want--- and the price is right

I'm kinda the type to go for the deluxes but POFQ will always have the most special place in my heart as being my first ever Disney resort.
