What is your earliest memory?

Not sure which of these is the earliest:

1. Playing with pieces of colored sponge under a hedge at my parents' first residence.
2. Being in my great-grandparents' kitchen.
3. Being read to from a Bible story book. I don't recall anything about the person reading to me or his/her voice (it was probably my mother), but I remember bits of the book.

I remember Christmas Eve in 1962. I was nearly 5 and there was a big snow storm. We tried to leave my grandmothers house and got a half mile away and got stuck in the snow. Back to grandmas and spent the night there. I remember my uncle carrying me in the snow.

I remember when I was 3 going on 4 & we were in Florida & we were at Sea World as a side trip from Disney when there was only 1 park & 3 hotels!

But the carriages were dolphins that we sat in.

I also remember the back of the busses on that trip-the Disney bus that is.

I remember watching the Electric Water Pagent from the room at the Poly. I don't recall seeing it but I remember looking out to see it.

OK so those revolve around Disney but what other memories should I have.

Oh yeah, we rented these wagons when we were in Disney. It was my family of 5 & my moms cousin & her family had 4. But we all fit in one wagon & I remember sitting in the back of it, no car seat & probably all 5 of us kids were there & my mom's cousin's oldest dd was doing the peace sign to cars as we passed them (this was 1975).

I remember sitting on a sawhorse when my father was building our playhouse. I was two. I also remember when I first learned to ride a bike at 3. I know the details better than my mother; she had to go look them up & look at pictures. They are definite memories. I have a few at age 4 and 5 and then things are blur until about an hour ago.:p

I was shy of 3 and it was when Kennedy was shot. I was on line in the bank with
my mother when she just heard the news and said we had to get home.
Then I remember my parents watching the funeral or news about it on TV.

I remember watching The wizard of OZ w/ my dad, in the den of our house. I had to be 2 or 3. He moved out soon after I turned 3.

Really weird-- I don't remember my mom being pregnant w/ my brother- I was almost 4 when he was born. I don't even remember him as a baby at all. The first memories of him, where when we moved in with my grandmother. I was 6.

I remember laying in my crib, and my mom coming in to say I had a visitor. It was our neighbor, Carol, and her son. Mom says I can't possible remember being in my crib, I would have ben under 2yo. It is a pretty vivid memory though.
I remember even then being mad about being woken up. I love my sleep!

I was about 3. My parents and I lived on an island in the Azores. We lived off the military base and I remember looking down from the house we lived in and watching bulls chasing people in the street. I also remember the dog that lived next door, Mina.
My DM's parents had been in the hospital and so yet again at the age of 3, I have my first memories of the United States. DM and I had come to the States to help look after her parents. We were at my DGM house and my DM was on the back porch on her hands and needs washing the floor. She asked me to go tell my DGM that she needed to call an ambulance because DM was feeling faint, so I did. I went back and had a cool wash cloth DGM gave me and stayed with my DM until the ambulance came. DM had a tubal pregnancy and she didn't know she was pregnant and almost died when she got to the hospital.

When I was 2 or 3, I remember running around yelling "I got new shoes!".

Earliest - Going to a friend of my parents' house. He had "land" and I remember running around. Now keep in mind that "land" was probably an acre - we lived in an apartment at the time. My mother tells me that I was younger than 2.

Two other clear as a bell memories from when I was 3 years old - playing tiddlywinks in my grandparents apartment while watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. The other was going to the Worlds Fair in Queens, New York and going to It's a Small World, my favorite ride there!

My mom says I didn't speak to her for a few days, but eventually the new babies won me over. I finally did get my girl, but not until after another set of twin brothers were born. :p

Yowza, Judi! Your poor mama had 2 sets of twins???!!!:scared1: You had quite the family, huh?

My first memory, and I know this sounds crazy, is actually standing up in my crib crying for a bottle. I had to have been only about a year old?

I remember playing with white pebbles that lined the back walkway of my grandmother's house when I was about a year old.

I have a couple from about the same time frame when I was around 3.
One my dad was driving and trying to referee a fight between my brother and sister and dad drove over the side of a mountain. And I also remember playing with my imaginary friends in my bedroom at the house we lived in when I was between 2 - 4.

My earliest memory is probably from my 2nd or 3rd birthday

I remember my grandma telling me 'Put your face in the cake!'
So I did :)
Then I remember her carrying me into the bathroom to wash my hands, seeing myself in the mirror, I had blue and white cake frosting all over my face, and only a diaper on

I was five years old in nursery school and it was our last day and Mrs.Sullivan had a wonderful farewell party. We were all heading off to the first grade and she was so proud of us. It was around six or seven at night and we were out in the yard of the nursery school with food, music, playing having a wonderful time. Our parents were there too and I remember The Jacksons "Dancing Machine" coming on. I stopped whatever I was doing and ran to the center of the yard and starting doing the robot! :lmao: All the parents were watching me and my mother just about died! :goodvibes It was at that moment that she realized, she would be putting me in dancing soon. I believe she did when I was seven years old. While doing the robot mind you, I had a few of my nursery mates join me...it's a memory I'll NEVER forget! :hourglass

I was quite young, before I started school. I was in the hospital recovering from a terrible accident. Arm was broken and in a sling, my head was bandaged up and the left side of my body was pretty torn up. My first memory is of me laying in the hospital bed like that watching woody woodpecker.

My earliest memory was when I was 3 and fell out of the back seat of my parents car at night. I remember sitting on the side of the road and seeing car lights go by. My next memory is sitting on the kitchen table, wrapped in a blanket, while my parents waited for the doctor to come. Luckily I wasn't hurt. After that my parents never bought a 4 door car. My older brother was an all around brat, and I wonder if he didn't push me out :rotfl:
