What is your earliest Disney memory?

We went in 1972, and I was 4. I have vague memories of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the auto train we took from NY to Florida.

I was 6, following my Dad through Toontown (after seeing a show on Minnie's bday celebration)...and when I looked up...it wasn't my dad. I remembering crying, and heading to a CM. My parents found me after about 5 minutes...but it was the scariest 5 min. of my life. That's all I pretty much remember from my first trip. That and riding Mr. Toad's ride (I think it was called something like that!)

My earliest general Disney memory is my mom promising we'd go see Bambi at the theater (1988 re-release) as a celebration of me getting over chicken pox...only to not be able to go, because the day it was released, my little sister broke out, having caught my chicken pox! I'm sure we got to go at some point, but what I remember is being irrationally mad at my little sister for ruining my fun Saturday. :lmao: I was 6.

My earliest Disney parks memory, I was 25. We arrived at MK on our first night, right as the evening parade had just ended and hordes of people were trying to leave. I thought the whole park was always as crowded as what I was seeing, and tried very hard not to freak out. Then they announced that some kind of fireworks show would be starting soon, so we found an empty patch of ground in front of the castle rather than fight the crowds. Wishes started...and despite not being able to see half the show because we were sitting too close to the castle...my love of WDW was born.

The mosaics at the castle and arfing on the tea cups. It was 1971.

Watching the Electric Light Parade at MK and being amazed by one of the fish floats that seemed to stop just to look at me.

I also remember staying at the Polynesian as a little girl and being absolutely amazed. We also went to the Luau and I remember the fire dancers.

:cloud9:

When I was 3 years old my grandma took me to see a showing of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at a local theater, everytime the witch came on-screen I told my grandma I wanted a soda, popcorn or needed to use the bathroom!

I was 13 when I first visited the parks, WDW to be exact and I thought I was way too old to be there, how things have changed now I can't wait to visit!

We wanted to stay in WDW for our first trip in 1977. Our travel agent booked us into the Dutch resort at Disney Shopping Village. (TAs didn't get commission from Disney at that point in time, so they booked their clients into resorts where they could get a commission, and we didn't know any better). We arrived on a Saturday, and were told there were fireworks and a special nightime parade that night only. We didn't want to waste a days ticket to see that, so we figured we could just go to the top of the hotel to watch. We couldn't see anything, so we went to the Royal Plaza hotel to see if we could see it from there. We couldn't. We had no idea just how big WDW was, and actually thought we could walk to Disney world (MK then) from our hotel.

I was 3 almost 4 when I first went with my parents and little bro. Only thing I remember from that trip was going down on the submarine on the 20,000 leagues ride and riding the skyway tram over fantasyland.

Next trip I remember a lot more was a day at MK and a day at Epcot (before Norway was built). Most stand out moments from that trip were riding Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Haunted Mansion where my brother turned into a ghost riding beside my Grandma and riding the People Mover through Space Mountain vowing I'd never go on it (my DH then DF got me to ride it in 2000, just as bad as I expected it to be). Also remember being allowed to play the shooting range game in Frontierland.

I remember Epcot and riding the Ford World of Motion and the old Horizons ride. Also Figment was cool. ;)

We stayed at that Dutch themed resort too. Does anyone remember what the actual name of that place was? What hotel is it now. It was the Dutch Somethng at Lake Buena Vista?

My first trip to Disney was when I was 5 years old. We drove down from Massachusetts nonstop (except for gas and bathrooms), it took 22 hours in an old station wagon towing a pop-up trailer(my parents still brag about their time).
I first remember driving down the road to get to the campground and seeing the Mickey and Minnie welcome sign. I was so excited I cried. (I still tear up when we first arrive to this day, 21 years later. lol)

It was June 1975 & my parents knew someone who had a brother that helped to build the Poly or some part of WDW (I wish they still knew that guy...). So he got us a room cheaper then normal at the Poly.

Anyways, I was 3 (turned 4 in October) & I can remember sitting in the room at the Poly which is now the Concierge building & watching the fireworks. My cousin & I both watched them with our moms while our dads were out with our older sisters on rides & such.

Main Street Electric Parade <3 Saw it for the first time when I was 9 - and then two years ago it was the first WDW parade my daughter saw too. Gives me goosebumps :)

My earliest Disney memory is laying in front of the old black and white tv on Sunday nights at 6:00 PM to watch Walt and the Wonderful World of Disney. First memory of WDW was back in 1975. My best friend and I went with his older brother, his wife, and baby. All five of us in a Volkswagon Beetle.

One of the things I remember from my first trip when I was 4, was waiting for Snow White's autograph but she had to go right when it was about our turn... I started crying and she ran over and kissed my autograph book, making the "lipstick mark kiss" on the page. I also remember being scared of the Beast and having my dad wait for his autograph hahahaha :]

My earliest memory was from when I was three. It was only my parents and I at that point (the two other little folks weren't around yet ). I don't remember much expect from what my DMummsie has told me, but the one thing I do remember is from the Tapestry of Nations parade. I remember one of the puppets resembling a butterfly come down and brush it's wings down where I was sitting. It surly is a magical memory. :lovestruc

Went to DL in 1965. I remember the Matterhorn and playing some computer tic-tac-toe game.

Not my earliest memory, but my favorite memory was my Dad going to the French Bakery in Epcot and coming out with a tray of pastries for the family to enjoy while we watched Illuminations (can’t remember what it was called them). I try to “recreate” that on our trips with our kids.:goodvibes

Loving the memories. Here's mine:

Summer of '88. 10 years old. I can't actually remember walking into MK for the first time, but I recall my first attraction was the Swiss Family Treehouse. I was amazed! It was so big and "totally tubular." (Hey, it was the 80s, cut me some slack). I then promptly begged for an Orange Bird drink in one of the little plastic oranges.

Next day, EPCOT. Me: What's with the golf ball? Mom: There's a ride in there. Again, I was amazed. SSE is still one of my faves to this day.
