What is your Disney shameful secret?

I roll my eyes when I hear people say things like "Walt would be turning in his grave right now" or "Walt wouldn't be happy with this" at something like having to wait for a bus for 15 minutes and it had ruined there whole day etc. Yeah right!!

All my bags have Disney characters on them.

I'm decorating my bedroom Minnie style.

I have a Disney background on my laptop.

The only dvds i buy are Disney dvds.

How about, 'I have been to DLRP one million times.'?:rotfl:

I often sit and wonder what you all do for a living when I see your tickers and for those staying in deluxe resorts and flying PE or UC. I have to admit I get quite envious - but not in a bad way IYKWIM :flower3:

I do this too! I think I must officially be the poorest Diser, as it will take me 3 YEARS to save for a trip to WDW.:rotfl: I work part-time and I am paying for the entire trip for 5 of us.:scared1:
Sometimes I think about a trip without the kids...:rolleyes1

When I am at the Disneystore and they are playing music from DLP or WDW I pretend to myself that I am in a disney shop at DLP or WDW.

I'm more interested in visiting Florida for the non-disney parks - I'm quite happy with Disneyland / Paris for Disney but I really want to visit Busch Gardens / IOA for the coasters and Discovery Cove

cool thread:thumbsup2
I love dole whips but hate school bread.
I have eaten a snack in every country in WS
i dont like AK but my kids do:lovestruc
I hate TL - we lost the kids on the rapids, and since then i freak when we go....
I didnt get the hype about the Coral Reef.
Fav thing in WDW is coffee from morrocco.
spent:rolleyes1 far too much money on a gem encrusted mickey in epcot last year.
dont like illuminations, but cry at wishes, every time!!
i want to be tinkerbell and fly on the wire to start wishes:laughing: maybe when ive lost another 10 stone:rotfl2:
tracy

I cry at both of those too & when I say goodbye to the castle on our last day in MK. Thank goodness for large sunglasses!

Let's be honest WDW just makes me cry - I cry when I've booked a holiday. I cry if I've not got a holiday booked, I cry when I'm there, I cry on the way home, I cry when I hear Disney music, I cry when I see little children with characters (I cry when I see the Barclaycard bill once we're home - but that's a different story!!) All in all Walt Disney knew how to stir the emotions!

I just thought of another one:

I don't get the fuss about seeing the castle from the boat across Seven Seas Lagoon. :confused3

Hahaha, that's ace.

To me any view of the castle makes it a magical view. Every single journey to the MK I was on 'castle watch'.

I buy everyone i know Disney Birthday Cards,Wrapping paper Etc..

I have a cupboard full of disney mugs and glasses.

Whenever i have a ride photo i always have to have the photoframe that goes with it

I fancy Prince Eric :rotfl2:

Animal Kingdom is my fav park.

This is a great thread :goodvibes

You're not alone Joolz, we can only afford a WDW trip every 3 years.

However: I wouldn't want to go to WDW every year (every other year would be my ideal)

I like staying in an off-site hotel ~ we stayed at the Yacht Club for a couple of nights and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed it, I wouldn't want to spend all my time on Disney property

Apart from the pool/beach area which is lovely, I don't get the Poly, horrible little plastic huts ~ nor the Contemporary, looks like an aircraft hangar

I love the look of the Grand Floridian and the Disneyland Hotel (DLP)

I loved AKL when we visited a few years ago but the hoardes of unruly kids running wild in the pool/shop puts me off

I don't get turkey legs ~ the smell makes me retch

I hate the coating on Mickey bars

I've never ridden anything that takes me upside down (and have no intention of doing so)

It took until our third trip before we went (non-Disney) shopping

I hated my meal at Tangierine Cafe at Morocco in Epcot ~ it was so gross I couldn't eat it

I have a LGMH on my bag when at Disney and have met some very nice DISers through this :thumbsup2

I wear Disney T-shirts both on holiday and at home, also Disney jewellery

Our home is full of Disney souvenirs

My favourite parks are Animal Kingdom, then Epcot. I do love MK but it's not a patch on DLP, and I prefer DLP's WDS to DHS.

I don't really like US/IOA but will go back for WWoHP

Visiting all the Disney parks is on our bucket list although top of our list is to do DCL again :cloud9:

Okay I confess...
(1)We have never sat on the beach on the Seven Seas Lagoon to watch the Electric Water Pageant we keep meaning to just something always comes up:rolleyes1
(2) We waited to ride Rock'n'Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror until Ethan was tall enough to ride them too then I couldn't wimp out and you know what we all had a blast even with all the turns and twists and zero G bits.
(3) Our kitchen cupboards are full of Disney mugs and we wear our Disney t-shirts all the time.
(4) We have no desire to stay at the GF we've dined there and TBH it's too (to quote an americanism) "Froo Froo" for its own good, BTW the food was fine.
(5) We have only been fortunate enough to stop onsite 4 times but even if we won the lottery I'm not sure we'd pick a WDW hotel to stay in again. I guess the boys find more fun elsewhere now.
(6) Landing in Florida feels like 'coming home" but leaving Florida is pure torture.
(7) We are not even sure we'll get back to Florida in future DH has asked about reducing his hours (health issues) and I may be asked to alter my work patterns soon or possibly lose my job since the company is doing a 4 month review of all of the duties and operating needs and costs. It doesn't look good:sad1: At least we have great memories and photos and you guys and girls to chat with:cloud9:
(8) I sincerely wish that the changes to DTD don't ruin it for future visitors.

Right now we are waiting to see the new Disney film next week to get our Disney fix to keep us going for a few more weeks, the Blue Ray disc of UP should be here soon too so that will be good my family love that film to bits.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the job front and keep hoping that if the worst happens maybe a better opportunity will present itself when we need it, I hope the Blue Fairy is taking heed;)

You're the first person I've known to say that! What makes you like it more? I love it when DLP is bigged up! :goodvibes

I realise I am in the minority here :rotfl2: I just think DHS is a jumbled mess :confused3 I hate the way TOT is shoved up a backstreet whereas at WDS it is centrestage. And I like the fact the Partners statue is there. :thumbsup2 Of course, they had time to learn from their mistakes by the time they built WDS.

I love the shows at DHS ~ wish they could transfer them all to WDS! :goodvibes

I just thought of another one:

I don't get the fuss about seeing the castle from the boat across Seven Seas Lagoon. :confused3

Really? We always get the boat, hardly ever the monorail. I love seeing the castle through the trees, we all love the anticipation:goodvibes
