What is your child's favorite resort and why?

My son's vote is always for AKL. He likes GF (my favorite) but, like during our Beach club stay last November he'll say, "Yeah, it's nice but I like the Lodge with the animals!"

DS loved it since he was 2.5yrs old! BIG BIG BIG fan of Buzz Lightyear. Couldn't believe seeing the huge Toy Story icons and was thrilled to sit in the RC car. He still loved the resort at 4..and is looking forward to going back next mth. We will also be staying at WL and POFQ this year as the pools look interesting to us.

My 5 year olds like the Contemporary best (they've stayed there, the Poly, and the BWV). Mainly they like the concourse and the monorail I think. But I also think the room designs they implemented several years ago are very appealing to kids (I like them too).

My wife and I have stayed on property w/o the kids at the GF and BC, and I once stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Out of all of them the GF took the cake, but it's not a fair comparison because that was on our honeymoon, and everything was a dream come true. The rooms are a bit dated, but I really like the Poly grounds, and you cannot beat the monorail resorts for location.

DD6 soon to be 7 loves the Coronado Springs. She actually wants to live there. Why? She loves the pool and the atmosphere. She cries every year when it's time to go home.

I should add that my son is 5 (soon to be six this summer) and loves AKL for the animals, the pool (the lifejackets are great) and the big gift shop! (he also likes that bridge over the lobby across the fifth floor as well-- AND the playground...)

My kids LOVE POP Century!! And I LOVE POP too!! The kids are happy anywhere as long as there is a pool. I think their next choice would have to be ASsp.

DD is almost 8 and loves AKL. She is an animal lover. It's funny, as soon as she wakes up, she stumbles half asleep to the window to see what's going on out on the savannah.

DS13 LOVES the Wilderness Lodge!
we first stayed here in 01, day visit in 02, villas in 04 and as of now I have 3nights reserved in the Lodge for Aug

as soon as the DVC lines open Mon morn Im planning on changing those 3nights to 1night Lodge, 5nights VWL and 2nights Lodge

then we'll move onto BCV for 6nights

For my DD(now 8)'s first 5 trips to Disney World we stayed at the GF. It will forever be her favorite resort. We have also stayed at AKL (she has always enjoyed it but wanted to be at GF - too bad), WL (she loved it!) and BWI (she loved it too); We are getting ready to try Poly for the first time and she's excited about that.
So long as there is a pool with a slide, the children will be ecstatic! I am always amazed at how she and her cousins would go down the slide for 10 hours straight if we let them!!
I think every Disney resort will thrill a child

Each time we stay somewhere different my kids proclaim it to be their new favorite!

Seriously, I don't think they really have a favorite, they've enjoyed them all for different reasons. I guess, though, if they were forced to pick just one they'd pick the YC/BC not only because of SAB but the proximity to our favorite parks and the beauty and fun of the area in general.

Same here. They always want to stay where we did last time, cuz it's our favorite. Then I remind them, of this from CSR, or that from CBR, or that from WL.

This trip we are staying at Pop Century- My oldest is already in love with the resort, and to my suprise, neither DD wanted to switch when we talked about changing to a moderate. I'm sure it will be the favorite when we return- At least until next trip.

My kids love AKL (because of the animals, pool, and Simbas Cubhouse) and All Star Movies (Because of the great theming).

My kids have loved every place we have stayed, and always proclaim the last one we have stayed in their favorite too. I think so far their favorite is AKL since they both LOVE animals. My youngest has now declared that we MUST stay at the CR because he thinks the monorail going through it is the coolest thing ever, as well as having Chef Mickey's. He had been there a lot of times and never realized that it was a resort, once he found out, he has been dying to stay there. Maybe next year... this year, the ole budget says Pop Century, but I know they will love it, too!

My now 6 y/o DD loves the Poly. Of course she has only stayed at the Poly. WL, and CBR but Poly is her favorite. She loves the zero clearance pool, the large beach, the water play area, and the sweet smelling flowers. When I told her we might check the CR out this December she started to cry! She doesn't want to stay in the CR tower. She wants the Poly.

My DS (8) said immediately - AKL because of the animals (and we haven't even had a savannah room).

My DD (11) - politically correctly said "I don't have a favorite, each one has something special about it."

My kids love Fort Wilderness the best. The parks are great,but the golf cart can't be beat.

On site, we've only been to ASSp, CBR and AKL and the kids liked AKL the best, mostly for the pool.

DS 7 has proclaimed POP his favorite, though sight unseen! He's asked to stay there for his b-day trip because he thinks the Play-Doh animals by the pool are cute.

DD 10 wants to live at CSR. She has "deluxe tastes" and felt the difference between CSR and ASMu. I hesitate to ever let her stay at Poly or GF!

I'd love to stay at AKL someday but fear my children would never willingly return to POP or the All-Stars afterward.
