What is your best dinning experience in Disney World and why? I am sure everybody will have a different reason for a different place. I am interested in hearing! I love the Sushi place in Tokyo. We had window seats and ate as we watched the fireworks. Wonderful food, service, and view! Prices were not too bad either. We paid about as much as we would for sushi at other nice restaurants.

My absolute favorite dining experience at Disney is CRT. It was such a magical experience. We went during our mother/daughter trip and shared such a special dinner together. Other favorite experiences include 'Ohana and Jiko. 'Ohana was my first table service restaurant at Disney, and I just remember having such a fantastic time with the entire family. Jiko was my first "signature" and we had such a blast getting all dressed up and sampling the various authentic dishes.

I'm 40 and DH is now 45, 2 years ago I took him to Disney for his very first time. I've been more times than I can count. I told him we were going to see character when we ate at the Crystal Palace for breakfast. That was his very first meal so I wanted it to be special for him. He said "it's just a guy in a rat suit", meaning Mickey. He really liked Pooh and company when he was a kid and he didn't know that they were the characters. So at first he wasn't all that interested he just wanted food. As soon as the characters started going around the rest. he was totally into it. He was making sure no one missed us, and he made sure we were at the table when they came by. That made my whole trip to see him have such a good time, I'm getting a little tear just thinking about it.

V&A is at the Grand Floridian Resort....it is a VERY upscale restaurant serving a 7 or more course meal plus wine pairings if you wish. It is fine dining and requires not only ADVANCE reservations but men must wear a jacket, women very dressed up. It is about $125 per person for dinner but it is worth EVERY penny. I have been there 4 times now, once for the Chef's Table and am looking forward to the Queen Victoria Room!!!

We might do V&A's next time, but neither of us drink. Would the meal be just as awesome without the wine pairings?

Wow. Food looks awesome! I went to culinary school and this looks like something I would really enjoy. We are not going until November so maybe I could save up and surprise my wife! How long in advance should I get reservations and how long does it usually take (the whole dinning experience)?

Oh absolutely...the food is EXTREMELY worth it alone. You may even get to pair with some non alcoholic sparkling juices...I know some other similar type restaurants do this.

Our favorite is deffinitely NOT for the food. I love Garden Grill because my kids do. DD loves Chip. They were so funny. Also, the kids were so excited that the restaurant was a ride!

We enjoy Cinderella's castle, the fairy godmother and all the princesses. There is just something about being able to eat in the castle that we love.

The food is great. Three years ago, our waitress gave us champagne flutes for our anniversary... The overall experience is very magical...

My sister went to culinary school and worked as a sous chef in Chicago for many years at some VERY fine restaurants. I took her here this past Feb and she absolutely loved it....one of her finest dining experiences EVER she said. You can get ressies as far as 180 days in advance...and you should plan at least 2.5 hours for dining.

California grill during the fireworks, i had the bison, best meal ever.

My best was my first time at the Chef's Table at V&A. This was when it was a smaller table (only a four-top), there was no "fence" and you were permitted to wander in the kitchen and talk to the chefs.

And, for the PP, if you are in the main dining room you can figure on 2½ hours, but in either the Queen Victoria Room or at the Chef's Table figure 4 - 4½ hours.

I have so many favorite places for dining.

For Dinner - Best for Romantic dinners : ))
V&A is the best experience at WDW; that can not be contested. Two close runner ups though, for great food, ambience & romance would be Jiko and California Grill.

For a 'Fun & Casual' Dining experiences -- O'Hana and the Wave.

For Breakfast - We love Kona Cafe ( real coffee !!) & Kouzzina.

For Breakfast Buffet -- Crystal Palace or Boma

For Counter Service -- Tangerine Cafe & Patisserie in France

For Best Drink --- Rosa Regale in Italy, Grey Goose Slushie France.

Those are my votes !
I could list more, but those would be the top for us :thumbsup2

Sadly, my absolute favorite dining experiece was always at Alfredo's (RIP). I never got all the negative reviews of that place. We adored it and it was always a must do. I am yet to try the replacement italian restaurant. Maybe I will like it too.

Boma is still my favorite. Eaten there two times and both were beyond excellent. They even had the chef come out and talk to us about DDs allergies. Then she brought us a special ice cream with toppings just for her. LOVE Boma!!!

My fave experience is Coral Reef. The food is good, not super special, but we love the setting! It is our little oasis every trip!

My best experience was at the California Grill at the Contemporary resort.

The food was awesome - we had a sushi appetizer that was some of the best sushi that I've ever had. Our server was wonderful (I wish I could remember her name). It was also a wonderful start to our trip because we got to watch the Wishes fireworks show from the balcony.

Fantastic and magical!
Would love to do it again!

We love 'Ohana. All you can eat brought to the table....the kids and DH love selecting their meat. kids love the race around the restaurant and we were lucky enough to be able to catch Wishes from the windows. Very relaxed feeling .

We also loved Coral Reef. We sat right beside the tank and this huge sea turtle kept swimming by the window and "looking" at DD. She swore he was her new turtle friend, Crush's cousin. The food was great and the ambience was very soothing.
