We were there in 1997 and watching the evening parade. My husband 'who could care less' was sitting by the ice cream place on Main Street. My grandson and I were by a garbage can. I was holding my 4 year old grandson's legs so he could see and would not fall. Jiminy Cricket, of course was narrating the parade. I love Jiminy. I was just thrilled to hear his voice. I really could not see the parade that well. but I knew it was coming to an end. I remember seeing Mickey and Minnie, I believe. My absolutely "never forget' moment came next. It was totally unexpected. There "he" was. Jiminy Cricket on the last float. I was totally happy! I will never forget that moment. It gives me goose bumps just remembering it now. So what is yours? Everyone has one. Maybe it's a new one or maybe it is an old one that will never change. Mine will not change (I do not think) unless I get Jiminy's autograph or can take a picture with him.

We were there last July during MASSIVE crowds. Decided to go over to GF for a meal, and then head back to MK. Took the boat BACK to MK from the GF and somehow lucked out in being the ONLY ones on that little boat. AND there was a STUNNING sunset, the most beautiful that I had ever seen! A truly magical moment....alone with our daughters, beautiful surroundings, ahhhhhhhhhh :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

We were at the "Member Homecoming" event for DVC members last year. This was for the grand opening of Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. Anyway, they had a special night in MK for the group involved. My "moment" was when then had everyone move to Main Street for viewing the special presentation they were doing for our group of SpectroMagic. During that time, they played special music and had anyone who wanted go out to dance on Main Street. There was just something really "magical" about dancing with DH on Main Street while the kids were home with Grandma! ::MinnieMo

DD, as we ended the AK safari ride, wondering aloud why ANYONE would be SO stupid as to decide to be a poacher at Disney when **obviously** there aren't enough places to hide without getting caught. The guide just about busted a gut and so did I. :rotfl2:

Taking my Fiance there last year for his first trip to WDW and seeing the look on his face as he took it all in! :goodvibes

I have 2 moments that stick out as a favorite magical moment. Back in 2001 my 3 year son got Mary Poppins and Bert's autograph in MGM. Later the parade started we were right in front and when Mary Poppins and Bert came by, Bert said "hello Jacob". What a moment and we even got in on video.

In 2003 again in MGM, the characters were coming out by the hat for the autographs. Now Chip and Dale are Jacob's favorite. So here they come out and grab Jacob's hand to walk him over to their spot. He was all excited. :wizard:

My 3 yr old dd, on our first trip to Disney, being in the parade at MK, holding hands and dancing between Cinderella and Prince Charming... :lovestruc

Walking into the WL lobby for the first time

Seeing the view from our Tower room at Contemporary for the first time

And seeing my "baby" (now 5) get a big kiss (the kind that leave a lipstick imprint the rest of the day!)from Princess Aurora and realizing how fast he's growing up.
:(

My first ride on BTMRR, Space, Splash, and TOT, after YEARS of being too afraid to try!

I'll say 2 moments...one is old and when I went for the first time in 1972. Didn't know many people who had been to WDW and just seeing it was unbelievable.

Now, the special 'moment' was involving DS....the whole trip was just so awesome to see all of the magic through his eyes. The actual 'moment' was in MGM when we were in a gift store and 2 actors came in 'in character' and had this heated exchange that eventually sucked in the cashier. DS had no idea it was actors and a set up and his face was priceless. He couldn't stop talking about this couple from NYC.

last Aug..... being at MK w/ DH and DS's 1st time.... loved watching him enjoy everything!! will also never forget hurricane stinkin' charley~~came our second day we were supposed to go to MK...... :umbrella:

On our first family trip to WDW, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. We checked into the CR, took a quick look at our room and then went straight to the MK. The 3:00? parade was just about to start as we walked in. We got great seats and sat down to watch (we're a big parade family). The parade stopped several times and one of those times, the characters came up to our kids and pulled them into the parade! They played games and danced with the characters. And that was our kids' introduction to Disney World!

Our timing was like that for the whole trip and the most incredible things happened, but that was one of the best. How could you ask for a better beginning to your trip?

Not really IN Disney, but it does have to do with it:
I went to WDW with my whole family (2 aunts, 2 uncles, 4 cousins, my brother, parents, and grandparents). Thats 14 people altogether. We brought my grandparents for my grandfathers birthday. So in Epcot, we saw the holiday bus and me and all my cousins and my brother went around and got all the character's autographs. We took a picture of all of my cousins and me and my little brother with Chip and Dale. Fastforward to the last night of vacation. We are at dinner outside of Disney World. At the end of dinner, we give my grandfather a frame with an I.O.U note that says we owed him a picture. I will never forget the look on his face when he realized that all his grandkids pitched in for a picture frame for his birthday. We put the picture of us and Chip and Dale in it and he still has it sitting on his dresser. I will never forget that trip and that moment when we gave him the frame.

On one of my first trips down...could have been first trip, not sure, but it would have been 1980 if it was first trip or within a year or 2 of that if it was 2nd or 3rd trip.

Anyways, we did a character breakfast, I'm not sure where it was. But my dad is a wiseguy and a big joker. Anyways, Tigger was coming to do autographs and my father decided to slide the bill under his paw for him to sign (we probably had 20 people...extended family trip)...Tigger proceeded to pick my dad up and carry him out of the restaurant. I was about 5 years old when this happened...and I will never forget it!! Not sure if that is why Tigger has always been my favorite or not. :rotfl:

And seeing my "baby" (now 5) get a big kiss (the kind that leave a lipstick imprint the rest of the day!)from Princess Aurora and realizing how fast he's growing up.

DD got one of those from Ariel on our first trip. She spent a long time with her and DD told her how much she loved her movie and how she was glad Ursala(sp?) had not won. :teeth:

It is all these wonderful memories that keep us coming back to Disney. To those people who ask you, " Why do you keep going back to the same place on vacation?" They should read these wonderful memories, and they would know "why we are hooked on Disney".

I have two favorite memories, both from the same trip. We took my son to WDW for his 4th birthday. Well, we went to Chef Mickey's for his birthday dinner and the look on his face was priceless when the whole restaurant starting waving their napkins and Mickey and Goofy came running right up to him and gave him big hugs (his was the only birthday that evening). Well, on the bus ride home, the bus driver noticed his birthday button and lead the whole bus in the birthday song. He was just beaming!! and to top it off when we arrived back at the hotel there were balloons and a birthday card from Buzz Lightyear. Just truly magical.

Another favorite moment was when we were waiting to get Ariel's autograph. He had a crush on her and was so nervous/excited to meet her. Well when he went up she had him sit next to her and she commented on his "big" muscles. He loved it. After the autograph and picture we were leaving when Ariel called out..."Collin, honey you forgot your pen" He couldn't believe Ariel knew his name. It was great, she must have heard me talking to him as we waited in line. That is why I love Disney!

June 15, 2002, my DH proposed to me during the fireworks at Magic Kingdom!! What an amazing moment!!!

A few years ago I went with my friend to MGM and we were so excited that we were chosen to be "actors" in the Behind the Scenes Tour pre-show! It was something that I will never forget!

Hey Bubbas Mom. We were there for hurricane Charlie. We ended up going to the MK that day and no one was there. We road space mountain and splash mountain 7 times each until they closed the park at 1pm.

That however was not my favorite moment. The best moment was sitting in Ohanas our first night there and experiencing "Wishes" for the first time. It brought tears to my eyes and just talking about is bring tears to my eyes again. This is one of those unforgetable moments that I will always cherish.

While on our honeymoon, DH and I were chosen to be the Grand Marshals in the Stars and Motor Cars Parade....it was truly magical :)
