What is with the March Car Rental Prices?

I am looking for a midsize car 3/10-3/18 and looking at pretty big money (most over 400, found 1 under 300), but looking for something in the $190 area. I am waiting for my new entertainment book...and I guess I am a little early for codes. But National was like $700 are they trying to prevent college students from renting cars...I am over 30(actually 40-but you know how 40 is the new 30 and I'm sticking to that )

So if you hear of something good...let me know

I booked for 10 days mid-March full-size a few weeks ago with Thrifty for just under $300 total. It's gone up since then! I've been used to getting under $20/day on past trips, so $30/day hurts a bit, but I'll get over it.

Just keep checking and prices may come down.
