What is with the long wait times?

If you'd rather not wait on hold, I just used LucyPhone.com. It waits on hold for you and calls your phone when the call center picks up.

Thanks for the tip I may have to result to using this, I like the hold music but it is eating up my cell minutes when I don't call on the weekends since I don't have a land based phone line.
 
I called this morning and made 2 reservations, including a wait list and flight info for both and was on the call a total of 42 minutes. I was given a 20 minute wait time which was accurate. I felt this was reasonable since it was 9:15 on a Saturday at a time when we are 11 months from Christmas week. Maybe things will be even better in a few days once all of the dues payments and Christmas week reservations are done.
 
I don't mind a long wait time as long as they are accurate with their quotes. I gave my kiddos a bath last night while waiting on the phone and then at exactly 18 minutes (as quoted!) they picked up, just as I finished bath time! Score!

And they took care of my modification:)
 

Are you all prompted to do a survey at the end of those calls anymore? If so, you should really take the time to do it and give them a bad grade with the "how long did you wait?" question. Either that or send an email to member satisfaction and let them know. It will never improve unless they are aware it is bothering members.

I made a change to a reservation a couple of weeks ago and put a bad mark on the survey for wait time.
 
Every day this week we have been on the phone, on hold by 9am sharp and the wait has been anything from 10 to 25 minutes.

Most reservation operations can be accomplished on line, even day at a time reservations. Afterwards you can send a contact form email to MS and have the reservations merged into 1.

I called twice yesterday and it was 35 minutes both times. I hung up.
Called this morning and it was 17 minutes. So I sucked it up and waited with the phone on speaker. :rolleyes2
 
Is there any particular advantage to having reservations "linked"? Yesterday, I needed to change our reservations for this coming summer, because I had our vacation scheduled the week after Memorial day. The last day of school was scheduled to be the Thursday before Memorial day, but, now there are snow make-up days that extend after Memorial day. Some lucky person got a week at Bay Lake towers. I couldn't get Bay Lake towers for the entire new vacation time, but, I got 4 nights at AKL and 3 nights at Bay Lake towers. Because I didn't want to hold for 30 minutes, they are separate reservation numbers. Not sure it is worth my time to "link" them.

You can only link reservations at the same resort, same room type.

I've been on hold for 40 minutes so far… they said 45 minutes so I'm hopeful they'll pickup shortly. Argh.

Was just reading about the new member "perks" and saw you have to call member services to book the dining experiences. Wonder what this will do to wait times on top of the issues they are already having?!
 
I wouldn't plan about calling MS about anything not related to all of these deals on Feb. 6th!
