We will be at WLV from the 19th-22nd and the BCV from the 22nd - 26th. We are looking forward to the pool also.

My "first" wedding to her son was a disaster and a fight from the very beginning. She didn't like my dress, my colors, me, etc. My husband was raised Pentecostal I am Methodist. Huge difference. She stood up and objected during our small church wedding. I called the whole thing off - this was in June. Our "official" wedding - the one that succeeded was in December 6 months later in my parents living room. We invited his parents over to my parents house for dinner without telling them why. We invited our friend who is a judge a minister. He came in, married us in front of the fireplace and then we ate dinner. Fast forward to 15 years later and she has never forgiven me for this - and I love it!

Still OMG!!!

I simply can't imagine someone actually standing up and objecting at a wedding!

But it sounds like you got the final laugh...and that's just too funny!!

My DH's parents passed long before I met him...so no in-law issues for me. My mom wasn't too happy about our situation, but she's too far away (and made me too independent) to do anything about it.

Good afternoon ladies!!! I just got back from my son's preschool class field trip to the Duke Primate Center. We had a great time! Except - when DS4 announced that he could smell monkey poop! And when the guide brought out some lemur pelts for the kids to touch. DS4 got a horrified look on his face and started asking over and over... "Why did you kill them?" I just knew that he was going to get all the kids crying! Thank goodness the guide just ignored the question. I wiggled my way thru the kids and whispered to him that they just got old and died. But, other than that it was fantastic!

Now, back to DISing, er... I mean work.
