What is With Scott Ritter???

Former U.N. Inspector Scott Ritter, who in the 90's felt the U.N wasn't doing enough to find the WMD has certainly changed his tune. Several months ago he was making the talk show circuit saying that Saddam has no WMD and actually took some funds for producing a pro Iraqi film. This is what he had to say to TSF Radio in Lison, Portugal; "We do not have the military means to take over Baghdad and for this reason I believe the defeat of the United States in this war is inevitable. Every time we confront Iraqi troops we may win some tactical battles, as we did for 10 years in Vietnam, but we will not be able to win this war, which in my opinion is already lost". This guy is SICK, in more ways than one!!!

I heard that. I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I happen to disagree with <i>his</i>, though.

Sad for him....he just made a fool of himself. He should get an island with Michael Moore and the two of them can stay there and burn flags and whine about America. Maybe Saddam will take an offer of exile from them to their island and the war will end.

Didn't he get arrested for trying to solicit a 13 yo girl on the internet (turned out to be an undercover cop)....... I don't think that he has ANY credibility WHATSOEVER.

A few months ago, Richard Butler, who was Ritter's boss as the Chief weapons inspector prior to getting the boot out of Iraq in '98 was interviewed on the "Today" show.

He basically said that Ritter was so far off base it lacked all credibility.

He also stated that Ritter is either lying to the world NOW, or he was lying to him (Butler) back THEN.

Either way, he's a liar.

I saw a Hannity and Combs interview with both Richard Butler AND Scott Ritter. Some of Ritter's assertions and comments were so outrageous that Butler seemd almost at a lost for words that this guy could be such a jerk. Butler presented him with the facts and it seemed to matter not a wit to this guy. Unbelievable!
