What is WDW like around Halloween and after?

HI!

Just wondering what October 30 to Nov 4 typically looks like? Is it just crazy with Halloween? After Halloween does it calm down?

Here is a 2016 crowd calendar bar graph.

I wouldn't say crazy with Halloween. There are fall decorations everywhere - orange/yellow flower arrangements, corn stalk arrangements, happy scarecrows, mickey head jack-o-lanterns on the light posts. But that's about it - it's not in-your-face Halloween except at the MNSSHP. Magic Kingdom is the only park decorated in that way. Epcot has the Food and Wine festival going on - some fall decor, but not Halloween.

It's a wonderful time to go. Kids don't typically get Halloween off from school, so while the Parties get crowded, the rest of the parks are moderate around that time. Plus the weather is nice and the decorations are beautiful. Time it right and you can even see the fall decor change to the Christmas decor. It's my favorite time to go!

We went for a last minute trip over Halloween weekend last year and honestly it was the best trip I've had. Crowds were fairly low and the weather was perfect. We were there Oct. 30-Nov 1st, I believe.

Yeah we may have a deal on off prop that week and we've never been... I didn't know how nuts it gets at MNSSHP on Halloween itself...

We didn't do MNSSHP on Halloween. We actually did it the day after and did the Halloween activities at our resort on Halloween. DS1 (5) actually preferred the resort activities to the actual party. We were at AofA and they had trick or treating and a dance party with characters.

That's awesome! I didn't even know they did that!
